    Hey lovelies :)

Got my cervix scan today :( bad news on having to reschedule yours Dusty. Have also booked in for flu jab next week (docs have apparently reopened clinic which is good as OH was stressing about horror stories on the news)!!

Heating broke again last night :( Fingers crossed it will work when I try it later, altho chances of frozen pipe thawing in this cold may not be very high.

Had some good news today, my friend is 8 weeks, and she had a scan and saw heartbeat. She'd not said anything so I was worried it was bad news, so am just so excited for her :) Will offload all my too skinny maternity stuff on to her (hopefully) :)

We have a moses basket but only cos OH's sister gave it us - I wouldn't buy new and would def look for secondhand with a new mattress if I were you Lablover.

Hungrymummy, bless you that post about little un curled up was so cute. There is definitely no way you're supposed to feel so don't feel bad. xx

EA, this is the first appointment that I've not had crazy dreams about, is weird! Perhaps my anxiety is reducing. Good luck for yours xx

I was going to ask if babys sometimes slept in the lay flat bouncey chairs but wasnt sure if it was something that Im supposed to know and didnt want to sound stupid(lol) Whilst on the subject I was buying a family friends baby a gift in MCare and saw that they had what looked like long sleeved tops for bubs but long body on it , no legs just an elasticated bit at the bottom? Called a bundler or something , it was in unisex section so defo not a dress. :o Any clues?????
Nic2075 it has a section on "whitenoise " in baby book , basically says as soon as your back from hospital get tv on , put a load in washing machine , etc Will definatly try and do this
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

No question is a stupid qestion Lab, everyone has to learn! DD used to sleep in her bouncy chair, on a bean bag, in a moses, wherever she fell asleep I left her lol, too scared to move her in case he woke up/

No idea about that top, sounds like a long sleeved body suit to me, dd wore them quite a bit.

Ah yes white noise, one time dd was crying so much that I just turned the hoover on a left it on in the frnt room for a while, soon shushed her up lol. Same with the hair dryer, thats another good one for calming then (wouldnt recommend blowing the air straight onto them though!)

:D It's from a childhood book called The Finn Family Moomintroll by Tove Jansson. They're these tall, thin, white creatures that live on electricity and scare the Moomins.

Don't know why I chose it though!

    Good Afternoon Ladies :)

Just a quickie from me as busy at work.

    Welcome hattifattener :)

Dusty - sorry you had to reschedule your appt. At least you can make sure there's no remnants next time!!

Lablover - I will use a moses basket downstairs but only if I get a hand me down from family. Otherwise bubs will sleep in her cot updatiars or the pram downstairs. Or on the bouncy chair. Or on her playmat.

RE Whitenoise - does dog barking count as this?! My dog does bark a fair bit so I'm hoping that baby girl has already got used to his noise now so will sleep through when she's here.

Sorry, shprt on time. Still not speaking to DH :( I physically cannot speak to him atm - but I sent him a couple of texts earlier on how I felt so lets see how the land lays when I get home

    (((Higs))) to all

KT1985 - Good luck for the induction. Hope to hear some loveley baby news soon

Teenie - Everything ok? You must be busy with Christmas stuff!!

DD slept pretty well without rocking etc but DS was a nightmare. He wouldnt sleep without the hoover etc on. I used to have to stand for ages next to him with the hairdryer near his head (not blowing at him though) it seemed to be the louder the better.
When he was around 3 months ( i think) i bought him a taggie. From the very first nap he would pull it right over his face and go to sleep without any noise. I keep checking he could still breath!. He still has his taggie and uses it when hes not well or sleepy but thankfully can go to sleep without anything now.

They are all different so well worth experimenting.

If you read some of the books they dont recommend letting babies sleep on bouncy seats, couches etc but when your a tired mum and your baby finally drops off, as long as they're safe, it doesnt really matter where they are. At the most they will be snoozing for an hour or 2.

The only place I wasnt too keen on them sleeping in for too long was the first car seat. They just looked so squished. I used to wake them after an hour.
