Some information on flat nipples here... If you can find your local breastfeeding group then they'll help you get the baby latched on and feeding well, there's no reason that you can't breastfeed succesfully if that's what you want to do

I echo this, my m/w postdated the form for that very reason.

Congratulations to Kataratarina! What a beautiful name. Thank you for the comment about Pethidine - I wasn't sure about excluding it from my birth plan but that's reassured me a little bit.

8 more working days until ML after today (plus 4 working from home, boooo)! And if it snows tonight I won't be going in tomorrow.

Morning All,

Feel like Ive been MIA for a few days but havent actually been anywhere.

Congrats Kataratarina, my sister had a little girl back in October and called her Olivia, its such a lovely name and now Im jealous that I cant use it if we have a girl lol.

Well, had my 28 week appointment yesterday, couldnt find a heartbeat which was slightly worrying but think it was cos she midwife was a student, she said to the proper midwife that she couldnt even feel the baby :eek:

Anyhoo, proper midwife came and had a prod, managed to feel baby but had to push him/her up as they were lying quite low, that was a tad uncomfortable I must admit! Got the heartbeat in the end, baby is sitting toward the back and I have anterior placenta so was never going to be an easy job lol. DD was always sitting at the back and was back to back all through labour/birth, apparently it must just be the way Im built?!

Got my bloods done, student midwife bruised me, I didnt really like her very much to be honest!

Other than that all is well, next appointment 5th Jan when I'll be 31 weeks, oooh its going so quickly this time.

I quite like the fact that on Xmas Day I'll be exactly 30 weeks, dont know why lol.
