24/25 week appointment they are supposed to give you the form with your MAT B1 form.

Thanks. It's my 24 week appointment on the 29/12 so I'll make sure I ask for both then.

Oh I'm really confused now then... I'll be 25 weeks exactly on the 1st Jan, so I *should* get it - but the midwife said I definitely wouldn't - and I'm also not seeing anyone until I'm 29 weeks - have to make an appointment for that week - will that be too late to ask about/for the form? Actually, after the scan on Monday, we have to drop the paperwork off at the Maternity bit, should I try and pester someone then? Or will they just tell me they can't do anything til 25 weeks? How come everyone else gets 25 weeks appointments and I don't?

Sorry for all the questions - feel free to ignore my ramblings, it's more thinking aloud than anything else. *sigh*. Times like these I hate hubs not being here - he doesn't half put up with some rubbish from me! :rotfl:

    Lovely photos Teenie!!! xx

Don't worry I get confused too!

It seems that different areas have different appointment schedules.

    I get
    Initial booking in
    12 week scan
    20 week scan
Then checks at 24,28,32,34,36,38 and 40 weeks.

I didn't have a 16 week check like some ladies in other places did nor was I offered the nuchal fold check like some areas are.

Thanks for the replies about sleeping. What I'd really like to know is if anybody else slept 4-8 hours more than usual in the first trimester?

There is helpline number you can phone if you don't have a form but I "think" as long as you send the form within 31 days of it being signed by the midwife you should be ok. If you google HIP grant there are loads of pages to check out and [STRIKE]confuse[/STRIKE] help you ;)

  • Glad bubs are OK Charlie and Teenie :) I looked for a pic, but couldn't find one? I thought someone mentioned pics? :o

Thanks Lillian and Ecj, I will be having the jab tomorrow.

Alamaya, glad bubs is OK, I had some bleeding at 11 weeks and it was really scary. No explanation though.

I probably would have if I'd been able to :o Wasn't possible though, so I took to having what we affectionately call "Nana naps" - an hour or two in the afternoon.

About the HiP Grant... Have been reading different threads on different places, seems the cut off for due date is 21st April - and I know I've read that on this thread before - in my lurking days :D I'm gonna either try and ring the helpline number

(8.00 am to 8.00 pm, Monday to Friday
8.00 am to 4.00 pm Saturday
Closed Sundays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day
    0845 366 7885)

... But knowing how much I hate talking to people on the phone, I may email them instead - http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/hipg/email.htm Would be easier to phone really, just depends how brave I'm feeling tomorrow :o
