Hi Kararatarina, hope you're feeling better. I'm no expert but I think its normal to have braxton-hicks contractions at your stage- maybe thats whats happening. But if you're worried ring the midwife/ hospital.
2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.

Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013 :)
  • thanks for the reply. i thought BH was the tightening- i havent had these in a while!?

I text my friend and she said its just the baby moving, but the throbbing is in different areas, back, side, down there. Usually when the baby moves i can distinguish that from a pain. I know im worrying over nothing and the hospital will just tell me that too!

Probably Jojo, I weighed myself a couple of weeks ago and I was 12lb up...

Kataratarina, it could just be stretching pains, or even something like a water infection... When are you due to see the midwife again? It might be worth giving them a ring to put your mind at rest :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Thanks for the info about car seats, mine is 8 years old so will have to check it out.

I've already packed my hospital bag :o

All junk is out of babies room, just got to find the motivation to iron all the vests and babygro's now to put away but I've just cooked a Sunday roast and I'm now jiggered!
Oh great :) I'm definitely doing mine now then :)

Sounds OK to me. I think I'd put on just over a stone at that point. At 28 weeks I've put on 19lbs so far.

I don't know what I'm having, but snap...was completely off sweet things at the start (am a chocoholic normally). And now I'm back on the chocolate - big time :o Be interesting to see if I have a boy.

I know this has been asked loads, including by me before. But how many baby clothes should I take to hospital? And what clothes? I'm still confused between vests/sleep suits/baby grows etc.

I don't think I have enough at the moment in newborn.

I'm so excited. Wednesday is my 20 week scan. We are hoping to find out the sex, failing that we have a 4D scan next month.

I'm a bit torn, because a girl would mean more in common for my daughter but a boy (and a full term baby) would be such a different experience for me and OH!

Giz I'll be taking in 4 or 5 vests/bodysuits (vest that fasten in-between legs) then 5 or 6 babygrows/ sleepsuits. These are the same thing. I only hope to be in one day. But you never know when leaks and sicky accidents will happen.
You also never know what might happen when your in. My ds was born on the 30 th June 2007, 4 hours after the mad men drove a flaming truck into Glasgow airport.
We lived in Paisley ( 2 or3 miles away) so they took the 'bomber' to the local hospital.

They almost didn't let us in, but I arrived at the pushing stage, so now way I could make it to the southern.
Anyway I was told i could leave first thing in the morning (had ds at 7pm that night).
But the next day they locked down the hospital, no one could get in our out.
They did 2 controlled explosions on cars left in the car park.
My oh had came in to collect us just before the chaos.
We had to stay away from the windows and keep them shut. We had to stay another night then the next day leave via an underground service tunnel!!

It was all mayhem. So you never know when you need extra stuff lol.

Your oh can always bring in extras or take dirties home. Just make sure you have it all ready for him to bring. My oh brought it the wrong things.

    Evening ladies

Giz - upto now I have 28 body suits and 12 sleepsuits. i'm not planning on getting anymore, ages range from newborn to 6 months. i think I've got too much older stuff and not enough newborn but hope people will buy us as gifts once bubs is here.
I would share my list of stuff for the hosp but it is saved on my work computer, shows how much work i do

    ok, pram question..............

well was very upset today to find out the silver cross linear freeway doesn't fit in my boot, so it's a choice between
    Silver Cross surf
    m+p sola
    m+p urbo

The urbo fits the best in the boot put I prefer the sola and it is cheaper and OH prefers the surf. I do love the idea of a silver cross tho, I really want a carrycot so it 'looks' traditional, but as mum is paying the surf gets too dear with the carrycot............any tips???

I'd go for what YOU really want, don't forget you'll have the hip grant too, could you use that to get the carrycot?
