Good morning ladies,
Thanks Cutterby - that's good your soreness went away - I hope mine does too - very annoying!!
What's everyone got planned for today? I'm off to walk the dog then a bit of housework and diy then dinner with the inlaws. Back at work tomorrow. Boo.
Huge labour vibes to Hibbi - wow, the list is starting to move fast now!!
Catch you all later xx0 -
I didnt come back on after Olivia was born on 6/10/10 as i was very poorly having had two major bleeds following her birth, one 26 hours later and one 8 days later!! I found it very traumatic as i had to spend two nights away from her and my milk didnt come in as a result of the loosing so much blood so havent been able to breast feed
But she is now 5 and a half weeks old and doing brilliantly, she has started smiling this week and making gorgeous talking noises!!! And im getting over it all and starting to really love being a mum and feeling normal and well again :T:T
Glad you are ok and congrats.Hiya everyone, just back from the hospital was all a bit crazy, Ended up having section on thursday 11/11/10 instead as the steriods had not had time to work if I'd had it on wed as planned, numpty booking in person. I had to stay in hospital and wait as well because the seriods make your bloods sugars rise so I needed insulin and had to get up every hour to measure my blood sugars. Robert Jacob was born at 2:16pm and weighed 7lb 15oz. We are both home now and he is doing well I feel like I could do with another few days in bed but we are getting there.
Yay!:j:j:jCongratulations and welcome to Baby Robert.

Story so far - contractions were every 5 minutes for a couple hours and completely debilitating (sp) got my butt to hosp before x factor to be seen only to find out my cervix is apparently "paper thin" and looking good but only 3 cms dilated!! Have been sent home and contractions got worse and every 4 mins apart until midnight where now all has slowed down:eek::(been up 23 hours and cant sleep due to these contractions!!
God i hope she hurrys up!!
Wow hibbi, how exciting. Sorry you're in so much pain though. Are you using TENS?
MERFE - congratulations!! :j:j
OH thinks we're chilling today but he's got another thing coming. There's so much to do...got cleaning etc to do and still got a loft's worth of stuff under the stairs that I want to find new homes for. Then the inlaws are popping over to see the nursery - so that's a couple of hours gone. And then dinner to cook and I want to make time to watch some 24 (season 8).Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Hugs Karen. Maybe feeling sick is a first sign? Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Well my hospital visit was a bit of a nightmare and I'm still in quite alot of pain, feel like I've been rushed out, probably because the old policy was keeping you in for 3 days and now its only 2 so I'm bound to be a bit better tomorrow. Little man didn't need scbu and was only kept an eye on by the transitional care team for one night then handed over to the midwife team so he is all good. My iron levels are low as I lost a bit of blood,, didn't need a transfusion but was still low so have to have iron tablets and a check up later on. The wait for the section was quite bad as I had to be woken every hour to check my blood sugar levels so I was shattered before I even had the baby. The actual section went really well I felt, OH managed to stay with me the whole time which is quite an achievement, he normally comes in once all the sheets are up. The surgeon did say a fourth would be tricky as the bottom of my uterus is very thin, you can see through it apparently but I'm not planning any more ever. Breastfeeding went well at first as I expected, milk was in quick already but sore nipples mean I'm expressing it to give to him but still giving the odd top up too as he seems really hungry. I'll probably switch completely to the bottle eventually but he is getting more than the other 2 did and I'm doing my best.
Right people will be here shortly to gawp at the tiny little thing (I know 7lb 15oz isn't too small but its pretty tiny for me), he is probably gonna need another nappy change before they get here - I've never known such a small thing to poo so much, I've forgotten everything lol
Hope everyone else is ok, good luck with all your pregnancies and births xxx0 -
Glad to hear your wee one is doing well Merfe0

Sore Boob- I keep getting random aches in my right booby then my nipple starts tingling and itching.
Congrats to the new arrivals, wishing you all speedy recoveries.
Good luck Emsy & Hibbi with you rlabours and speedy vibes your way.
To all you dog owners- I have 2 large greyhounds that currently sleep in our bedroom (in their own beds) but I'm wondering if this is good for when the baby arrives. Any ideas?
Almost have the "spare" room empty to be turned into a nursery. Just about to go and do some more sorting now.
Did I hear somewhere you shouldnt use a car seat over 10 years old?
Thanks:heart2:Married 03/09/2005
