Anybody struggle with walking? I think I give up. I walked 10 minutes into town today and ended up having to get the bus back as it was hurting so much. I'm only 31+5. I'm sure I've read about people at 40 weeks walking 2 miles etc to try and bring labour on. I can't see that happening with me.
And should I get a gym ball? I can't decide. I'm going to ask if I'm allowed to take one to hospital. But for a fiver, is it worth getting one even if I'm not allowed to take one to hospital?
I don't know where you are in the country but here they have the balls in the hospital for women in labour (Bournemouth, Poole and Southampton)Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Congratulations Cherrydee!
I'm just popping on quickly to say hello, not been around much as have an exam Friday which I'm dreading and frantically revising for.
Hope everyone is well. I'm doing okay other than work and exam stress, little un is definitely making himself known now (think that's why I'm awake so early) but I love the feeling!
Charlie, yes I think it is quite normal to worry before the scan, I've been very worked up before both of mine an have only been able to enjoy them once the sonographer says it is all ok!
Love the bump pics, v jealous of your nice shaped bumps mv and mi3.0 -
Congratulations Cherrydee, hope your daughter is feeling more normal now.
Can't remember who mentioned a gym ball, but I found it great with my last 2 and have another one for this one.
Near my due date I felt it supported my lower back. I also used to rotate my hips on it and one day I really went for it for ages and I went into labour that night.
I found in early labour it helped ease any pains and gave me something to concentrate on. Well worth a few quid in my opinion.
Labour vibes to Cat and any others due soon.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Charlie - before every scan I would get more and more worried, also the relief from the previous scan would somehow fade away over the weeks, I think it's just normal.
In the last week or 2 I'd really noticed a strange feeling - a bit like a little kick, but with a regular pulse, not at all like the usual random wriggling and kicks. Sometimes I really notice my own heartbeat, but this pulse was quite a bit slower.
Anyway, it was giving me quite a bad feeling, getting paranoid about what it was, until yesterday the midwife told me it was just that the baby has hiccups!0 -

Hmmm, I didn't see any on the tour (Frimley Park) and they didn't mention them. They just kept going on about lack of room and not to bring too much. I will ask at my class today - if I have the guts to speak up in front of peopleBaby Giz born 6/2/110 -

I'm finding the closer I get to the date the worse i'm feeling about it. I'm barely sleeping now through the worry!
Somebody please tell me this is normal!
Totally normal - I was exactly the same. In the end I had to step away from Google through fear of sending myself completely doolalley. Try not to worry too much - although I know thats easier said than done - I have been a nervous wreck for all of our scans!Just wanted to give an ending to my post..... grandson Ollie was born at 11.44pm on Saturday weighing 7lb 1oz and he is gorgeous :j
Its been a pleasure getting hints and tips from you all.
Congratulations to you and your daughter Cherrydeewhat a lovely name - I may have to ask OH if we can add that to our list!
Giz I am planning on getting a gym ball as they are meant to be so good to sit on in the later weeks of pregnancy and bouncing can help bubs get into the right position and they can be used during labour. Plus they are really good for doing exercises on as well so am hoping I will get to use it after the birth as well - they aren't expensive so I think it's worth a try.
As for me I have my 25 week midwife appointment this afternoon :j unusually I'm not as worried as normal as I am feeling baby move around loads now. I have my list of things to ask her about and am looking forward to hearing the HB again
Am wondering if she will do any measuring today or do they usually start that at 28 weeks? One day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -

Sounds like the gym ball is a goer. Is it right that I want a big one? Is it a 68cm one or something?Baby Giz born 6/2/110
