Just listened to the rainbow relaxation CD by Marie Mongan...as weird as it is, I think it worked in terms of relaxing me. I'm quite impressed.

I have my first antenatal class tomorrow :D Can't wait :D And we're also going to the waterbirthing class in the evening :D

Hi, we did try that but unfortunately due to the amount of calls they are only seeing Homecare customers just now :( We think we might have a solution, get the part and hubby and brother in law will fit it - brother in law has done this before, and has a good knowledge of boilers. Apparently because it's a circuit board it's just a case of old one out new one in! I can't believe the labour charge for that!

Thanks for the labour vibes, hubby has another day's work tomorrow, so kinda hoping bubs will hold off a little - the money will be useful!

Hope they can get it sorted for you. I'm thinking of taking out the Homecare cover now.

Have some labour vibes for later tomorrow if you like!

Anybody struggle with walking? I think I give up. I walked 10 minutes into town today and ended up having to get the bus back as it was hurting so much. I'm only 31+5. I'm sure I've read about people at 40 weeks walking 2 miles etc to try and bring labour on. I can't see that happening with me.

And should I get a gym ball? I can't decide. I'm going to ask if I'm allowed to take one to hospital. But for a fiver, is it worth getting one even if I'm not allowed to take one to hospital?

I'm not struggling walking, but I have a gym ball (well actually a space hopper!!) and I love it, I have been bouncing on it a lot recently and think it has helped the head get lower! I used a gym ball a lot for fitness, we use them at dancing and they really work you hard, so you may find it useful after the birth.

Ooh DM - she sounds like a right little madam.

This prob not the PC thing to say but I have no problem with giving kids a little smack if they are misbehaving. Maybe i can say that as I don't have my own (yet) but I can see how sometimes you are on the edge and well, I got some right good hidings when I was a youngster and by god I remember them and I certainly never repeated the behaviour. i totally understand why some people would never do it though but each to their own.

Have a hot bath tonight and ease your aches and pains. I'm finding it difficult to sit properly in work now. My chair is one of these fancy ergonomic ones but i haven't a bl00dy clue how to change it. Sitting for long periods is taking it's toll on me.

that reminds me - lauren - did the school ever get in touch with SS after your morning from hell last week?

Not much to report here, bathroom still a no go zone but we have half a floor now :j

    Hope you are all well...xx
  • Sorry, should have said...........Im not normally a smacker in public

Lol, nah I havent got anything against giving the odd one here and there when we're at home but I dont do it in public, you never know who's watching!! I know its not pc but hey each to their own!

Well, daughter is 37 + 2 and yesterday they were n't sure if her waters had gone (but they had n't) but as she still has a racing heartbeat and is now classed as full term there is going to be a baby very soon. She has to phone the hospital tomorrow night at 8pm to see if there is a bed for her.... son in law has to take her up and leave her, they will give her a tablet and then 6 hours later another one, she seems to think baby will be born late on Saturday. I was going to be there to support her and son in law for the delivery as I think he found it too traumatic on his own last time seeing her in pain (baby was back to back)....but I have a feeling I may be needed elsewhere to look after my two grandsons instead.

Just wanted to give an ending to my post..... grandson Ollie was born at 11.44pm on Saturday weighing 7lb 1oz and he is gorgeous :j
Its been a pleasure getting hints and tips from you all.

DM, I'm with you on the slap if need be in private. I have too many friends who don't and you sometimes wonder at the logic of "talking" to the kids about their actions. Some kids just don't get it and perhaps a little tap might just do them the world of good. Fortunately DH is on the same page as me.

Well, first nightshift for me tonight and not a happy bunny. Feeling all sore and really seem to have expanded somewhat in the past week and I am struggling to get used to it!!!!
That and little one is good at kicking me and making me jump a mile!!! Seems to go for the hip joints or the foof!!!!!! Not the most pleasant!!! Guess I'd better get used to it.
HR at work can't make their minds up about my maternity leave and when it should start and if I have to use my annual leave before or after my leave and now I appear to have two women who are supposed to be case working it!!!!! For goodness sake, for a massive, massive worldwide company you would think they would be organised for a woman to want to sort out her maternity leave!!!! Not like I am the first now is it!!!! Sigh. If they can't get that right it's a wonder they stay in business!!!

Well, I'd better go and see what is happening and show willing. Only 13 more shifts until I am on leave again..... Boo Hooo............
