    Hello all :D

Just had a quick read back, my ears pricked up at the mentions of the Christmas markets in Manchester - is it worth going? We're about 45 mins away from Manchester, would probably go on the train, I did want to go but I'm not so sure anymore - the ice here is lethal, took me 20 minutes to walk home from school this morning, it's normally a 5 minute walk! I had a fall two years ago and was in the worst pain ever so I seem to have quite a phobia of falling again now - especially with creature on board!! Even hearing people slip makes me feel sick :(

Why does creature sleep most of the day but decide to practice it's dancing practically as soon as I lie down in bed?! Oh, while I remember, does anyone have any tips for making sure s/he is awake for our next scan? Someone told me to eat lots of sugary things but any more advice welcome :)

Well our house is all Christmassy, my ringtone is Fairytale of New York (one of my all time fave songs :D), all presents are wrapped - will be practice baking at the weekend with Moo so all that's left to do is the "Big Shop" (with a few extra gifts "just in case" as well as a bottle of Bacardi for the in-laws we haven't spoken to in two years who turned up yesterday with two huge bags of presents :undecided) - I suggested we do it online but hubs says we'll brave the supermarket..

Think that's enough rambling for my first post back - hope you're all well. Hugs xxx

Just had the boiler man round, and have been crying ever since, it's the circuit board - the boiler is only 3 years old, and it will be in excess of £500:eek::eek: I'm now about to phone and see if anyone can do it cheaper

Have you checked your house insurance? We were shocked to discover that ours covered boiler issues when ours went.

    Morning all. xx

Oh Catwoman, that's carp! Hope you manage to find a cheaper one. I know nothing about boilers, but does sound expensive. :(

Cutterby, having same problem here, got scan booked again for Saturday (1st cancelled cos of snow, 2nd he was sleeping with hands over face!), read that orange juice works a treat, I shall be trying everything I can *grabs cattle prod*! :rotfl:

"bobble" wearer here! Although I've been living in leggings mostly, I will never wear leggings again once the lodger moves out, sick of them!

MV so jealous of you getting the Chameleon! I wanted that, just ticked all the boxes. Cousin is !!!!!!! me her pram so can't really justify buying one....:o

Hope everyone is fit and well and taking extreme care out there! Good luck to all nearly due/due ladies. xx :A

Hngymummy, I will try and make more lists. My problem is that I go from job to job and seem to get nothing done rather than stick to one thing til it's done.

Do you work well with a reward system? I do. So if, for example, the dining room gets tidied, then I get to watch half an hour of tv, or get some time on the internet as a reward. And if I get the whole list done, then we can have takeaway (alas, this doesn't happen as often as I'd like).
If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:

I wondered about that, I must check that, thanks. Hubby is speaking to some other people that know plumbers, so we will see, the part is about £170 +VAT which isn't too bad if we can get someone to fit it more cheaply!

Catw0man, sorry to hear about your boiler, hopefully you can find someone else to sort it more cheaply. When our boiler packed in last week the fixer lady sorted it for free because it's under guarantee but the problem was a frozen pipe which they charge for as it's considered "your problem" - she said she would lie about what was wrong with it though, thank goodness! We do need to get it serviced to extend our guarantee, must sort that out today.

Placenta scan tomorrow - not sure what I want them to tell me really, don't know if I'd prefer a caesarean or a natural birth! I guess whatever will be will be, maybe that's why I haven't really worried about it.

I'm thinking about giving up work on 31st December rather than 14th January as I really don't think I can keep this up for another 5 weeks. But then worry that I'll be really bored come 28th Jan - or even 2 weeks after that!

Fairyshazza - we must be close to each other. I'm planning a trip into Oxford for some last minute shopping (whenever I think I've bought all I need I think of something else 'essential'). Think I'll also visit primark as looking for some vest/cami tops to wear under clothes while breastfeeding. Do you girls think that will work? Where is the primark in Oxford?

I am in Milton Keynes so Oxford is still an hour or so away from us but it has the best Primark near us and we had the added lure of the German market too :) where are you?

The Primark is in the main shopping centre, not sure what it's called. The Primark is huge - it's on two floors and I could've easily spent all day in there. Am pencilling a trip for a load of new clothes once the baby comes and I am back at a weight I feel comfortable at :p

Definitely ring round and get some more quotes as the prices can vary from place to place so much. I hope you manage to get it sorted quickly and as cheaply as possible. I keep looking at our boiler and wondering if it will make it through the winter as its over 20 years old now - am considering taking out some boiler insurance just in case :o

Bubs seems to have turned into a right wriggler over the past three days. I keep finding that when I'm sat I can feel the kicks right down through my bottom now - quite an odd sensation I have to say! Does anyone else get this?

Am starting to feel quite 'large' although my bump is still quite small. Think I'm becoming more and more aware of this expanding tummy in front of me - still find it a little strange to think there is a little person in there :p

Yeh! It feels like you are literally been kicked up the bum! Not pleasant. Mine is currently breech, still plenty of time to turn, but knowing him, who's been a cheeky monkey from day one, will stay put! :(:)

I feel so cumbersome, I keep saying to OH, I have ages yet, can't beleive I'm going to get bigger. I was tiny with DD!
