    Hi all,

Been for our scan this morning and am so surprised to announce that we are having a daughter!!!!! I was so convinced we were having another boy! I cried when she said it was a girl. We are thrilled.

Everything seems normal, but we found out the cause of all the bleeding; I have a condition called retrochorionic haematoma of the placenta. Don't know much about it yet and have resisted the urge to google and scare myself silly. Do any of you know anything about it? Going to email around people to get them to get joining ASDA baby club!! x

Congrats on a girl, how many boys do you have?

A bit of advice please ladies, I have a DD already and all my family only have girls, and I'm a bit "baby boy, what's one of those?" I'm a bit clueless, I know a baby is a baby and you work it out along the way, but I'm just hoping for a few pointers specific to boys, and the main differences with little girls (I know the obvious one;)) Like what is likely to be more difficult and more likely to be easier?

  • Hi All

Anyone use a buggy board? Whats the best buggy/buggyboard combo to get??

If peeps arent using buggy boards, what will you be doing? I dont know what to do for the best with DD! I know there are a few of us with toddlers around the same age, dd will be 2yrs and 7 months when LO arrives. She does walk quite a few places but her little legs do get tired quite quickly and she still likes to nap at the moment but will she come that time? Oooh Im confused.......this is probably the reason we havent decided to look at buggies yet! Lol

Then of course I could consider one of those sling things (anyone know the proper name?) for LO till dd is a little older.

    In other words, HELP!! Lol

Snap, we have more girls than boys in our family too, have a dd already but strongly suspect this one has a winky altho we havent had that confirmed, we firmly on team yellow lol.

Main tip Ive been given about boys is too watch out when you take their nappies off, with little girls we think fountains, with little boys its more like hose pipes lmao

One boy already, they are so lovely as babies - not sure as to the differences either, but looking forward to finding out!

DueMarch, my friend has 2 who are a couple of years apart in age. She had a trike that attached to the buggy - a Strolli Rider and absolutely raved about it, apparently much better than a buggy board as you don't have to hunch over to push, also great fun for the older child.

Make sure when you are changing the nappies that your baby's winky is pointing down the way - otherwise pee will come out over the top!

That sounds horrible to me. Hope we don't have to do any speaking or anything. The impression I got was we just sit and listen in ours, which suits me fine. I'll leave the questions to OH. I've got 2 weeks yet until my first one.

God that does sound awful, it's made me not want to go to mine. I have the breastfeeding one tonight - anyone know if it's worth going to or whether I can find out everything I need to know from you lovely ladies and the midwife?
