I thought it was 30 minutes at each interval but I could be wrong so never posted it.

Still don't think the OP has a snowballs chance in hell, the problem can be fully alleviated by a modification and so DLA isn't appropriate.

My daughters has just been dropped to LRC.

    I'm happy with the decision.

    Sometimes we expect too much?

And thinking about it....if I'm honest...I'm struggling with the whole concept of not being able to do up a button and zip with one hand? Although I guess some people may find it harder than others.

It can be done...my daughter does it.. she cannot do a zip on a coat as she cannot 'link' the 2 zips together but the zip on jeans she can do :)

I think if you lose the use of one arm then it's harder to re-learn.

But if you have only ever had the use of one arm then it's the only way you know how and you learn how to do as much as possible..
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

going back to the trouser question, my lads never undid zips or buttons on their school trousers, just hauled them up and down. they were held up by the waistband of their pants, I guess, although until secondary age I used to buy BHS school trousers which had elastic at the back only.

and I'm sure DH has some with partly elasticated waists. so is it worth getting elastic fitted to the back of a larger size?
Signature removed for peace of mind

Come to think of it my sister only has fingers on one hand and I've never seen her need any help with buttons or zips - and she works for the NHS with regulation trousers!

It's not something I've considered because she's always been like that, she just kind of learned as she went I guess. Her kids can do stuff one handed too from copying her which will come in handy for middle kid as she's a broken limb waiting to happen.
