Hi Scott, why not just get all your statements anyway and claim ;)

The other accounts mentioned are my partners, I only have this one account with Halifax and this is the only charge we have incurred. She is not so keen to take them to court. So i was hoping using the 'threat' as a bargaining tool would be a good idea and might persuade them to pay out and be done with it!
  • Hope I'm not sounding stupid but when it asks for this on the next bank letter what do I put? Is it small claims court, my actual local court, internet claims court name? What? Help please, want to move onto the next step by sending this letter tomorrow. Thanks in advance.
    I will be rich :rotfl:

45 letters!!! I was expecting alot but they only come in 2 A4 envelopes. 108 pages with my statment going back to 1993. I thought i would of had alot more. Brought back memories of previous jobs seeing my wages being paid into my account. The best when i was a glass collector. A weeks wage of about £30. All taken up from one charge..

I'd reply to this one as long as you make sure if you end up going to court that the letter goes to the registered office.

  • sorry but i have asked this before but cant find if anyone has replied...if i claim back bank charges ..halifax..can the bank make me pay back my bsnk loan..which is paid monthly direct debit..and how would this work...my charges come to about £1500 and my loan is for £4000...would they deduct the charges from the loan amount and make me pay the rest in full.i dont want to go ahead and claim the charges as i would be worse off if i have to find the rest to pay off loan..cheers..liz
  • Hi, all

Does anyone know how long the halifax take to credit your account, as I accepted an offer of £1500 from them, and posted the letter back last Friday, and just wondered how long it took for them to credit me.

    Thanks
    Andy
