    started this process in march with halifax after them telling me their charges are fair and i agreed to their terms when i opened the bank account.

    i started my online cliam on the 22nd june, it was posted on the 25th June.

    last week had a letter from halifax offering 50%, i rang and refused and said that i wanted it all, the man said could not do that so i said i would carry on with my online claim.

    this morning ive received a letter from halifax saying sorry i didnt accept thier gesture of godd will 50% offer and if i want to proceed they suggest i go to the onbudsman.

    am i to assume that they will now contest my online claim?

    and i assume that if thats the case does that mean that i will have togo to court?, i am now terrified.

    think they have untill the 14th of july with the online court claim

    Don't Panic! This sound like standard banking tactics. Most banks will wait till the last possible minute to offer you very close to the full amount ;)

    You know you are right and they know they are wrong :)
    Got It & Spent It :dance:
    IKEA CARD = £120 charges = £175 received (146%)
    MARBLES = £450 charges = £370 received (82%)
    I.F. = £494 charges = £494 received (100%)
    CAPITAL ONE = £981 charges = £1,489.03 (152%)
    BARCLAYCARD = £580 charges = £786.12 (136%)
    On Hold :mad:
    A+L = £722 charges (target = 147%)
    BARCLAYS = £1,405 charges (target = 128%)
    BARCLAYS = £175 charges (target = 140%)
    ABBEY = £3,220 charges (target = 148%)

    Does anybody know whats going on with the phone numbers. I cant get through on any of them and the 084512411330 says no longer in use ???????

    Phoned and got straight through on 0845 124 1330. Spoke to somebody who has just started today and basically knew nothing and didnt know what to say or do!

    He now says they have up to 16th July (was originally told 3rd July) to respond and he will mark my case as urgent. Yet more fobbing off.

    Just tried ringing through on the 01977 627313 number.

    1st attempt - just rang and rang and rang
    2nd attempt - it rang about 6 times then it was hung up the other end.

    I will keep trying this afternoon - maybe they are having lunch at the moment.

    I got through on this number last week absolutely fine.

    if I dont get a satisfactory response today I am going to mcol - I have had enough of waiting and being fobbed off now.

    Hi ive just rang the 01977 number and spoke to Steve who true to form was very nice and helpful and he said that he would deal with my complaint himself either today or tomorrow and I would have something in the post...watch this space!

    Hi noticed that you phoned on Wednesday last week too and been told the same as I was.

    Have you received your offer letter yet? If so what did it say if you dont mind me asking? I havent received anything. I am claiming £2860 + interest.

    I realise we have had a postal strike but really should have received something by today. I have phoned them to be told that nothing appears to have been sent out on my account and they are going to send it to the review manager and would mark it urgent.

    Good luck with your claim.

    It seems like review managers are not available due to high volume of calls ???? Strange - just got on to james on 0845 124 1330 and hope things will start moving forward though i won't be holding my breath.

    :mad: grrrrr so far have tried 01977 627313 and 01977 627422 and either just rings and rings or after about 5 rings it gets hung up the other end. funny that. Also getting nowhere on the 0845 number, just kept on hold.
