Phone 01977 627313 - tell them that the deadline for them is 1st July but you'd like if possible to avoid going to court with it and are they willing to make an offer. They can only say no mate. You'll probably get Graham, Richard or Steve and they're all really friendly.

Hi there i rung and got Kevin (is he any good)

I was supposed to be away fro 2 weeks in Spain but have had to come back early before going back, and was hoping for a letter as i spoke to him last week, chasing my case.

By the way, after you ask for a re-evaluation of your case, does everyone usually get an offer to settle or another fob off letter?

I think everyone (or very nearly everyone) gets an offer. I phoned them regularly with random questions just to ensure they remembered me :D It's been 3 weeks and 2 days since I first started the whole process and I've been promised an offer tomorrow. That includes getting statements and lists of charges sent out.

I've never talked to Kevin so I don't know if he's any good. My theory is they're all the same person and it's a magical number.

Many thanks! I have rung the number and spoke to Steve who is going to look into my claim today or tomorow, at the latest and then send me an offer through the post. Fingers crossed that it's what i want otherwise i'll haggle over the phone and if no luck, ask the judge to enter judgement.

    Glad I could help :D
You'll probably get offered 50% of what you requested. I think a lot of people have been successful phoning up and saying they're not happy with the offer. When asked what they would be happy a lot of people have said 'the full amount' and been offered it ! Looks like with a bit of luck we'll both be having a similar conversation with them tomorrow !

Remember if you're not happy after negotiation you can always try the "I'll accept that as part payment and proceed to claim the remainder through the courts". Some people have been successful that way too.

Yes i got the same letter and my cheque back, apparently its not a ploy, though i'm still sceptical about financial institutions.

Has anyone else rung this 01977 number and felt that it was a waste of their time?
