    Hi all
    Amount claimed £1338
    Amount recieved £1254
Started my claim in March after waiting 8 weeks as i couldn't afford the £120 court fee as i have already paid that to take Lloyds Tsb to court (and im still waiting started 28.02.07) i then got standard Bog off letter. I called up the number and asked for a re-evaluation. After then waiting another 6 weeks, i recieved a letter on Saturday offering me a goodwill gesture of £627. I tried all day Monday to get through when i finally did was told someone would ring back. When i recieved no phone call i rang at 4.45pm to be told the guy i needed to speak to wasn't in. So i called this morning at 9am. I was told again the guy wasn't in but they would get someone else to ring me in 10 mins. Sure enough 10 mins later the phone rings. I was on for 5 mins and we agreed at £1254 just £84 less than what i asked for and i'd included overdraft interest!! So for all you who think you'll be he to lose(like i did) hold on in there they just drag there heels. Good luck everyone i'll keep you informed of my fight against Lloyds court date is 8th August!! Thanks Cally

    Hi Folks
Sorry if this has been asked before but here we go:
I requested 6 years statements from the Halifax on the 9th May
Received a letter dated 31st saying I should receive my request within 40 days but they are very busy etc etc
As of today no statements or any other letters, to my reckoning thats 45ish days. I know they only have 40 days under the data protection act.
What should I do now, start ringing?

I,ve been waiting since 2nd May for statements ,still not here, but they did send me a list of charges.Ring them and they will send you the charges so you can get the ball rolling . Good Luck

I did ring them yesterday & they said they would send me a list of charges for the last 6 years within 7-14 days, I'll sit & wait some more!

Hi, we went to the stage of sending Halifax 3 letters telling them we will take them to court, and had to go to the stage of filling it in court, and the amount we were asking for was transfered to our account on friday, 2 weeks from the court filling date. we got £2500.

Hi, did they acknowledge at any stage?

    thanks

Good luck, i'm due to do that on the 1st July!!!!!
  • I posted the first letter to Halifax asking for my statments a little over two weeks ago and today i recieved my ten pound postal order back from HBOS saying that they have decided not to charge a fee for requests of this type. They also say that they aim to reply as quickly as possible but due to the high amounts of similar requests they can take up to 40 days from original request. Is this a new ploy by them, are they not charging now because they are going to start refusing - what do people think - Has anyone recieved their payment for statements back??????

    suspicious old me

Halifax are strange ! I phoned the 01977 number and spoke to Steve. I was basically just calling to double check something (anything really.. just wanted to keep in contact with them !). Gave the guy my reference number and he said that he'd progress my claim to the next stage today himself and get an offer in the post tonight or tomorrow ! If I don't hear anything by the end of the week I've to call him back on that number !

I never said anything... I never asked anything or FOR anything !
    Umm.... thanks Steve.
    Thanks loads. Nice guy !

    Hi,
What is this 01977 number (i'm new to this site). I requested £5020 through MCOL and the deadline for halifax to reply is 1st July then i can ask the judge to enter judgement. Is it worth me ringing anyone or leave it in the courts hands. I began my process of trying to claim these bank charges at the end of April. (Seems to take forever!)
    Thanks, Alison.:o
