    Woolwich - x 2 accounts! - Received £7800. Virgin Credit - Received £360. Capital one - Recieved £136
:money: Thanks for this informative site!!!
  • As of the 4th of April it has been 2 weeks since the Bank of Scotland Recieved my letter asking them to repay my charges, so i am pressing ahead with the second letter.

I noticed that the template states a 14 day time slot but most people are specifying 7 days at this stage, any comments /advice would be appreciated at this stage.

Hi, I sent my first request letter 9th March, made a couple of phone calls and got SOME statements yesterday, what I am curious about is :-

    1) They only sent me statements from May 2004 instead of from 2001.....is this becuase of the Halifax take over time scale ??

    2) When I recievd these statements, they came in 10 envelopes, is there any comeback on this on thier part ????

Was sure I seen it on a post a while back concerning another claimer that there could be admin costs in conjunction with this, is this true ????

Any help would be fab !!!!

    Hi mani,

The LBA template was 7 days a few weeks back but recently it has been changed to 14 days???

I used the 7 days and some people even skip this letter and go straight for court action.

I can only advise if you issue the LBA stick to the 14 days as this must of been changed for a reason.

Edinburghlass may be on here to advise precisely.

    Good luck

2004 was the takeover youll get the old BOS statements later.

I am moving to the next step after they told me whty will take 4 weeks to get back to me but i have misplaced the file i saved with the exact amount and the exact date i sent the claim in.

I need these details for the letter template to threaten court action.

Can i re word these templates so i dont need to use the date or the amount or will i have to start again?

    regards

The same happened with me the statements from May 2004 are after the BOS systems were taken over (sorry merged) with the Halifax system. You should get all your BOS statements in one seperate letter not 10.

When this happened I phoned up the Telephone banking service nd asked about it and they reordered the statements without any extra charge and they arrived within a week.

    Morning,

I have today received a standard letter back from the Halifax stating that the FSA have ruled that they can take up to 8 weeks to investigate. Being a Debt Recovery/Assest Finance Paralegal, I realise that I should determine the timescales but I am seriously stumped as to what to put into an effective letter back to them regarding the eight weeks. I am going to proceed with legal action in 7 days time but I want to address the fact that its not a complaint as such and that a concern of the actually cost of the charges.

Could someone help as i want the letter to be sent out today.

    Thanks
