  • but who is the payee name?

    thxs
  • Never mind just read it should go the Halifax! Oh dear!
  • I made my cheques payable to Halifax plc and it was fine. I shouldn't think it matters whos name is on the cheque. They will only be interested in cashing it.

  • Just been reading some of the success stories.
How come with some people the bank will just cough up the money and then with others (same bank) they basically tell them no!!!!! I just don't get it.
I'm about to send my court letters and if they don't cough up and basically just say ''fine, take us to court'' what do I do??? I don't know the first thing about courts!
Oh and another thing... I'm actually paying money to the bank I'm claiming from through the CCCS at the moment. Will this affect my claim ??
Someone wrote that they got their money back but, it had to go towards paying off their debt.
Is this going to be the case for me too ??

    Thanks all.

  • Im Confused over the interest you can claim back...statory interest.. Halifax have said that they caluate the interest from when the charges where first applied and so they say that the calculator on the web site is wrong as it is calculating all of the interest on the charges from six years ago and not say from when they where first applied..does this make sence?
i put the date of the first charge in and it calcutled the amount from then .
    Thank you

Provided the Interest Calculator is used by inputting each and every charge with the date it will produce the correct total. This means that a charge taken in 2001 will incur more interest than a charge taken in 2006.
  • Thank You This is going to take a while to input!

Returned to the local branch with the £10 administration fee cheque and this time got a signed receipt of acceptance... starting to get seriously hacked off with this now, almost at the point of giving up despite the initiation of court proceedings....
Just bumping this up as nobody else seems to have had the same problem...
