Right.....prompted by Doodledo.....I am committing to saving some money. Proper savings...

My aim is to have £5000 in savings by the end of 2011. That will have to come partly from savings out of my monthly income, and partly from my annual bonus.

The idea is that this still leaves me enough in my income to spend on fun things, like having a life, and will not impact on my new "must haves" like the cleaner, and my leg waxes!

So.....my signature will show my savings target which will hopefully act as an incentive. I am not going all guns blazing at it, though, as I have done that for the last few years and need to cut myself a bit of slack but I do need to keep myself focused so that I don't end up with nothing in a couple of years.

On the contrary - it is always a good thing, doodles!!

I have put it in my signature now, so there is no going back.....I have a small balance in my egg savings so will use that as my starter.....

I am determined to do this - DD is at 6th form now, and DS is doing his GCSEs.....they will both be wanting driving lessons before I know it, and of course if they continue to Uni I want to help fund that.....so I need to do it now, rather than get myself into debt to do it at the time.

Bring it on!
