BY god Hypno you know how to party girl!!

I have thought about my kids re uni as well. If I pay mine off the way I hope to then I should be debt free whilst dd is there and prior to ds starting. The one good thing my ex did was that he is shacked up with a driving instructor so kids will get free lessons. I wonder if that'll be in lieu of all the maintenance he owes me pmsl

Souk, Edinburgh is 22nd May I think.....

KM, I think that saving the cash will be harder than debtbusting it - when I was debtbusting it was an all consuming focus, and it was "easy" to say NO to those things that would slow it down somewhat. So on a social level or a "me" level, things were easily put on the backburner so that the cash could be thrown at the debt.

Whereas for the savings challenge, I don't want to put those things on the backburner any more. So they will eat into my income and what would previously have been spent on debtbusting will be split between the savings and being spent on making mine and my childrens lives a bit more fun and generally good. If I hit my target of £5k in the bank by the end of the year, I will be more than happy :D

Re the leg waxing - at the moment it is all part of the discipline of making time for me, and deciding what is important to me, going forward. So for now, at least, my trips to the salon stay.....in due course, I may go for the MSE option, but not just yet.

Yes, indeedy fancy meeting a stalker or two......we will be making a long weekend of it, providing we get our acts together and sort out reasonable accommodation.....we shall be picking your brains shortly I think. I will speak to P when I get back and start formulating some sort of plan!

Also, if you're aiming for savings this year, why not check out the Virtual Sealed Pot Challenge? The lovely Palema is running it and I bet she'd be thrilled to get a DFW celeb on there :rotfl:
