I was thinking I might just treat myself to a more expensive razor :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

I have my eyebrows done too (or threaded, depending on who is available in the salon) and have done for the last 15 years or so.....definitely worth it!
It *is* a treat in the sense that I am doing something for "ME", purely and simply....and discovering what my new priorities areSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. I'm a thoroughly incompetent shaver, nicks and cuts all over the place, entirely useless
Does it really hurt?? How far, er, up do you go??
:rotfl: :rotfl:
(no need to answer - just thought if you could inspire me to shred, you might well be able to inspre me to this too!
)
(I'm working full time as of Monday after several years of working 2 days a week, so my wages will more than double - hence the savings, but I'd also like some treats!)
That's why I started getting my legs waxed Cheery, I was sick of cutting my ankles in ribbons
Does it hurt - not really though that depends on the competency of the person doing it and how sensitive you are. (Though some areas hurt more, I don't mind bikini waxes, but daren't get my underarms done)
As for how far up do they go - they go aaaaaaaaaaall the way baby!:rotfl:
You can go Brazillian or Hollywood - I just stick to a tidy up!0 -
As we're on the thread (geddit) of hair removal, what I'd really like is IPL (think that's what it's called) laser hair removal for my chin
:o:o
Don't know about anyone on here, but we all sit at work like Bruce Forsyth feeling our chins! It's so glamourous but one of the perils of having kids and getting older
Pity that is costs £60 a go and you need at least 10 treatments......until then plucking it is!0 -

Fab news on the savings target Hypno - how exciting!
If anyone's not on it already http://www.groupon.co.uk/ is really good for deals on massages, beauty treatments etc - I've got a load of treats lined up for the next few months with vouchers from them. Had a £25 spa day in a posh hotel from there a while back!
I'm scared of waxing too but I would like to try threading for my eyebrows, they are rather rampant!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Can't have my legs waxed anymore
, so limited and painful shaving it is! I have had my underarms done (ouchies!!) and *cough* the Brazilian (which hurt less than the underarms!:eek::eek:) ,
I am trying to save and clear debts at the same time - trying for £20 saving per month and about 4 or 5 times that much off the debtDo not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

I am trying to get together the courage to have my underarms done too.....as yet I have been far too chicken. But I will hopefully overcome my fear before summer arrives!
For those that find waxing painful, just take a couple of paracetamol about half an hour beforehand.....just takes the edge off it apparently.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. My DH calls my epilator my "oh bu&&er !!!!" machine as that's all he hears when I'm using it. :rotfl:
I probably shouldn't admit this on a public forum but I really do quite like the pain of it.....I'll get my coat.
