Epilating is OK when you do it regularly, as not every hair gets plucked, so it's not that painful. Also it's more painful if they get too long. If I forget (i.e. normally in winter), what I do is what I did for a start, use the armpit/standby razor, give them a quick go and then use the epilator regularly, as soon as the hairs get long enough it only plucks those, not everything, and it soon gets back to normal. When you epilate regularly the hair growth seems to slow down a bit anyway.
Planning to try using the razor first technique to see if I can get used to epilating armpits too, will update with the results!!! I hate stubbly armpits
Definitely a fan of threading for eyebrows, Ok not of the watering eyes that accompany it!!
Hypno - hope you've had a good journey home, and that you manage to get to the match this afternoon.0 -

I'm scared of waxing too but I would like to try threading for my eyebrows, they are rather rampant!
Saw about groupon on your thread, but this is a definite plus point as I spa/pamper day is definitely on my wish list, and at £25 that would be brillHope I can find some deals that are just as good on there.
Threading is definitely good, even though at least for me it's eye watering, but the effect is really good.0 -
Hope the driving has gone okay, Hypno.
I'm fascinated by the depilating discussion - I just can't do waxing, I tried a half-leg one, and my skin was still smarting two weeks later - I'm an incredibly sensitive little flowerso for me its a razor on the lower legs. When I had money, I did a bikini line laser thing (slowly! that hurt too!) so I don't need to worry there....

We are home
Safe and sound......albeit very tired. Not tired enough to miss the match this afternoon though! Will have a couple of hours vegging on the sofa after a long hot shower.
Am very pleased with myself - it is my first proper all night non-stop (other than coffee/petrol/toilet) drive......12 hours 45 mins door to door.
Have pushed my boundaries a little further today, and that feels good.
