Is it the end, or just the beginning.....?

I started the sealed pot thing when the first version of it existed, but lost the motivation to report in after just a few weeks......which is the way I have found most challenges in the last year or so - full of good intentions, but like new years resolutions they don't last!
So, I will cheer you sealed potters on from the sidelines and drop by from time to time, but think that focusing on my own thing might work better for this one xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Enjoy the chocolate factory, Hypno - just going to the Lindt factory *shop* was fantastic when I stayed with some friends in Aachen a couple of years ago.
And as to your challenge with doodledo - I reckon you need an mse audience cheering on the champagne drinking ... I reckon there needs to be a party2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Afternoon Switzerland :hello:
I used to get my legs waxed religiously (not anymore she says glancing at her wolf tights:o:o) but due to MSE pressures I started using Veet strips. I have to say they are brill and often on offer. I only go profess when I'm in public/on holiday
Now, I spend that money on facials. Had one this morning Hypno and I think it would be right up your street - I feel great, so relaxed with lovely glowing skin0 -
I will be pleased to add it to my list of "must tries" mac!
Had a fab time at the chocolate factory - did eat my whole bodyweight in chocs though in the tasting roomand we all felt rather sick afterwards......we certainly got our money's worth - it only cost 10CHF for the three of us to get in as children up to the age of 16 were free....so total cost about £7 for all you can eat chocolate lol!
Then we went to Gruyere and walked around the old town and the chateau for a bit - now vegging at the house ahead of our overnight drive home. Will start overloading on the coffee soon.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Right.....prompted by Doodledo.....I am committing to saving some money. Proper savings...
My aim is to have £5000 in savings by the end of 2011. That will have to come partly from savings out of my monthly income, and partly from my annual bonus.
The idea is that this still leaves me enough in my income to spend on fun things, like having a life, and will not impact on my new "must haves" like the cleaner, and my leg waxes!
So.....my signature will show my savings target which will hopefully act as an incentive. I am not going all guns blazing at it, though, as I have done that for the last few years and need to cut myself a bit of slack but I do need to keep myself focused so that I don't end up with nothing in a couple of years.
Go hypno! My circumstances are different to yours but I am hoping to save @ £1000 during 2011, long term savings (not just for Christmas/holidays/emergency fund). Good luck!! xxxI can choose happiness whenever I wish no matter what my circumstances

Excellent savings plan Hypno! :T :T
I'm aiming to save about that much this year too (although I suspect my income - and my outgoings - are far lower than yours!)And I don't have 2 teenage children either
As for waxing - ouch! I'd love to pluck up the courage to try itI'm a thoroughly incompetent shaver, nicks and cuts all over the place, entirely useless
Does it really hurt?? How far, er, up do you go??
:rotfl: :rotfl:
(no need to answer - just thought if you could inspire me to shred, you might well be able to inspre me to this too!
)
(I'm working full time as of Monday after several years of working 2 days a week, so my wages will more than double - hence the savings, but I'd also like some treats!)0 -
Waxing doesn't hurt as much as people expect it to.....even on the, urm, sensitive areas.....! I always used to shave or use the dreaded Immac type stuff, but waxing is soooooo worth the money in my humble opinion!
And you don't have to go "all the way" if you don't want - just start with a half leg wax and take it from there.....but I'd be willing to bet you a tin of sprouts that you'd soon be asking for rather more done than just your lower legs.......;)Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
