  • Hi, I think this may be the thread you mean? Love the housework idea!

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1944229

Our Santa letter arrived this afternoon along with the personalised card from M&S, kids are so excited. My eldest even pre-empted one of the activities, when I read that the elves were mischievious she said 'oh no I bet they're going to eat our chocolates' lol

Thanks!!!Hopefully get mine made and as much prep as poss before DS(7) PD day on friday!
  • Eggnog has just arrived, he's currently making himself comfortable and appears to have brought advent callendars (x5) and a peppa pig dvd for the afternoon (all big fans in this house inc adults). I've given him his own corner (where the tree will go eventually).

He has also brought his passport and journal (notebook covered in santa fabric, containing rules and advice) as well as a glittery scented pen to write with. His sleeping bag is about to be constructed out of same fabric as book cover but I did not get around to making a bag of snow yet. I'm thinking at this stage it will have to be icing sugar in a cellophane bag.

Have put a few decorations around the room, hoping to get the tree on sun, but it may be next week if the snow hits. I am still in two minds over whether he should be seen or not. Dcs are all under 8, so I'm thinking go for seen, but I'm worried about dissappointing the older two. Saying that we've had the "if you don't believe you won't be visited" discussion regarding the toothfairy recently so hopefully can get away with it.

Amy, thank you so much for all your hardwork on this thread. I'm not up to getting him on FB this year, but if it all goes well, will def be something else for me to do next time.

I cannot wait to see the childrens faces in the morning.
I was a twin mum +2 but have been a twin mum +3 for a few years now. :)
  • Have just set Elfie Belltoes up on facebook and sent out some friend requests but please request him if i have missed any of you - thanks. Amy could you also add him to the list please. Elfie will arrive overnight and magically appear under a small tree in sons bedroom. He is having sleepover with two friends who will also be getting their own elf when they get home! Can't wait to see their faces in the morning. Have just been outside in the snow to get a couple of great pictures and now need to start decorating the tree!
  • Wow, 9000 + views on this thread and to think last year I thought eveyone thought I was mad!!! Anyway guys I had a thought about creating a group on face book so we could post all our photo's etc to the same place? Anyway I have never created a group before and just wanted to send requests to join to you all, but I think somehow I have auto joined you all?? Appoligies if this is the case please unjoin if your not keen on it, Just thought now the antics have started would be quicker to look at photo's etc in one place rather than visiting all the profiles if we just wanna have a quick look at photos? For all those who are intrested the group is called 2010 magic christmas Elf antics. happy holidays x:j
  • Hi ya
I discovered this post a few weeks ago and hae been frantically looking for an elf, buying treats and making elf like things ever since!! I have 2 ds a 3 year old and a 1 year old, this will be the 1st year the 3 year old has understood christmas so i wanted to start pulling out all the stops and make christmas magical like my mum did for us as children!
I couldnt find a suitable elf so i bought a ben elf and made some "elf" clothes ( which wasnt easy as i have not used a sewing machince sine i was in a year 8 textiles class about 8 years ago!! but i must say so myself im quite proud of my efforts!!)
I have been excited for tommorow since i see this thread and the snow we have down here has made it even better as now i now have no work tommorow as i work in a playgroup! So im going to spend the day with my 2 boys, not to sure the youngest will understand much but me and the eldest will make christmas decorations as the christmas tree will go up tommorow nght, when the fiance gets home from work!. The fiance thinks im metal as i have spent the last half hour arranging a train, elf choclate advent calenders and fake snow on the living room floor!! (hes face at the fake snow on the floor was priceless!!)
So anyway Jolly twinkletoes is ready and waiting on his train on the living room floor waiting for tommorow! im so excited im not sure ill sleep!!!

I took a pic to put on here but becuse i havent posted much it wont let me :(

i look forward to seeing and hearing all the elf mischeif!!

    Muffins your daughter sounds adorable!

JJ Jingles is all set to go and is arriving on a shiny new black sled for the kids, along with a snowman sack with advent calenders for the kids which is also his bed and his journal and a letter from Santa. My kids usually get up around 6am so I am going to set my alarm for 5:30 and when I hear them stirring I have a box of christmas bells I am going to go and shake really loudly near the door to their room and run like mad back to my bed and hopefully they will think Santa just dropped JJ off! I so cannot wait until tomorrow! :D
