  • ok, finally finished my elfcapade spreadsheet, after weeks of tweeking & purchasing items! just a few of this years ideas:
arrive 1st dec with wooden advent dh has made
various craft / baking kits for weekends.
tickets (made up on pc) to see nativity 2
draw "glasses" on me & dh whilst we sleep
turn the laundry room into a mini winter wonderland (got tons of cotton wool, little wooden xmas trees, made mini skis, snowboards, sledges & a ski-lift!!)
map of neighbourhood, travel mugs & hot choc for late-night decorations tour!
    wrap kids school uniforms
make an elf breakfast - mini pancakes & snow (scrambled egg whites) with green milk
re-decorate the tree with pants & socks
have a movie night party with teddies & dolls (make a mess with popcorn, dvds, beer cans etc) then leave a movie night hamper for us all with a note to say sorry for the mess!
various hiding places - in the fridge, in the cereal box, in school shoes, in the car with empty mcdonalds wrappers!!!
    im soooo excited!!!
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

Elves if anyone neesd to get one.

I saw some Elf like dolls in Tiger today. THey look similar to these pixies, but are different. I'm not sure if the ones I got are Elves, but they look Elvish. They have boy and girl ones and for £2 each, you can't really go wrong!!!!

 *Louise* and other christmas thread people.

Thought I'd better subscribe to the thread now we are nearly on December 1st (although I know some people couldn't wait and started early :rotfl:)

So here is Ben 'bouncy' elfling's facebook page - does anyone else have one set up?? will also be using it for other pre-christmas fun ideas etc so I can a) find them next year and b) not annoy my non-christmassy friends. Please feel free to 'like' and add your own link. (I noticed list on first page hasn't been updated this year)

We have to call him 'Bouncy' as DS1 is called Ben and the elf actually talks and says "my names Ben and I'm an elf!" (yes I thought that through well didn't I!!!! :rotfl:)

I need to go print out my idea cards that I made months ago and get my christmas timetable sorted out. Need to fit in crafts during the day and mischief at night while working 4 days a week (assuming I can go back next Tuesday as currently signed off with an ear infection that isn't budging even with antibiotics)

I've made my passport - just need to Laminate it and my basket is all ready to go complete with pillow and sleeping bag so he will be cosy at nights.

Going to read tho the thread to see if I can get any more ideas.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • I bought an elf today from ebay - hoping he will be here very soon! Have decided to call him Elfis Frostikins, am so excited.

I have been telling the kids about santas elves for the past few days and this afternoon we watched arthur christmas.

I think they will love having him come to stay for the month! We are sending a card from one of those card personalising websites from Elfis to the boys letting them know he is coming for the first time soon and to watch out for him, build up the excitement and get things ready for him.
