  • So who is actually doing the christmas card swap :/

I am still going to organise one as I have had quite a good response already. I wasnt looking to step on toes or take over, so possibly there will be a choice of card-swaps to join lol :rudolf:

  • I did get a bit confused with this because I sent out loads last year and wondered why others had only sent out 4 - now I know why :rotfl: It would seem we had two lists.

Pinknfluffy I assume you have already started to collect names so would it make sense for you to continue to organise it this year?? That's if you are happy to do so of course. I am sure yummy_mummy_amy understands the confusion now :D

    Hi there.
I never knew of Elves before stumbling across this thread. I think I would like a elf for my twin boys (nearly 5). Do you think they need one each? Also thought I might make a peg dolly elf that stays in my bag to report back when we are out and about. Then peggy can go on the xmas tree as a decoration until 12th night.
    What are your thoughts?

I would recommend getting them an elf each, my nephews are 5 y/o twins and I sent only one last year (there first experience with an elf after they took to ours whilst visiting the previous year) my brother reported that they loved Crispy-Claus and all his antics, but that there were daily issues as to who he would sit with/sleep with etc, so this year I am sending a second elf to make life a little easier lol! I know we like to encourage our children to share, but if they really do take to the idea, it will be very difficult to devide one magical little elf between two excited little men!! :rudolf:

I have 3 children including 4 year old twins We only have one elf and the elf stays downstairs overnight in a bed basket. Mine have been fine no arguments . I just make sure either the activity or pressie left is one each or enough for three.

For those of you just starting this year, our first elf came last year and my 8DD only wrote one thing on her Xmas list - for Freddie frosty feet to send his girlfriend this year. I could of cried its so lovely knowing how.much she enjoyed Freddie last year.

pm me your elf names & address if you would like to join ours. Theres 8 of us so far, and hoping to work it out so we each post/receive 3-4 cards to keep costs down :rudolf:

Aw how sweet of your dd, I hope Ms Frosty Feet will beable to put in an appearance! My nephews are a bit of a handful to be fair, my dd's have a 7 year age gap between them so sharing has never been an issue for us, but we have always had 2 elves anyway (because I got them on BOGOF!!!). Nice to know not all twins are as anti-sharing as my nephews! They really did take to the elf thing so well though, so im happy to send a second if it makes my brothers life a little easier! Next year a third will have to join for their baby sister who will be old enough then to join in, hmmm might have to ask my bro for a contribution!!

  • Sorry if I offended u, I wasn't part of this thread last year & didn't realise u already did one. I do one with 3 other local mums & just thought it would be nice to get other elf fans involved. I don't want to step on toes so am happy to withdraw my offer

no you didnt offend me at all. there is a few ppl asking about doing it, but i wont be organising it this year as involved in the international 1 on magical holiday site.

so if someone wants to organise 1 then do it. i no my kids loved it last year (and yr b4) elves getting cards and letters. x
due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:
