  • just wanted to let everyone know of a very sweet incident at our dinner table last night... kids were for some reason talking about christmas dinner, and youngest dd (5yo) suddenly got down from the table & went and stood in front of the santa cam (motion sensor burglar alarm thingy) and said, in her bestest, sweetest voice "santa if you let jingles & belle come and stay again this year i promise i will eat all of my brussel sprouts and not give them to the doggy like i did last year" awww, dh & i had little lumps in our throats!

:santa2: Hi guys, please can I join.

I have just used the buildabear code to get our first elf, she's called Snowy Dazzle.

I'm so excited planning all the things Snowy is going to get up to, have just spent the best part of the morning making her passport, should have been doing some housework.

    Great thread with brilliant ideas.
  • Just seen that the iceland website has a number of Xmas printables on it, including an Elf tree hanger. It would be perfect to put your childrens faces onto then hang on the tree. I am going to add this to my list of mischief.

  • Hi everyone, what a wonderful thread this is! I have unusally had a day all to myself due to being unwell, came across this and have spent the day reading all about your elves :) It has cheered me up no end, and i need to do this for my daughters who are 13,10 and 5 and will love it.
I am so excited I cant wait to find an elf. when I have I would deffo like to add to the card list, great idea.
Also how are people doing the passports this year? little bit confused about that (doesnt take much normally, but today I am dosed up on meds to :/ which is probably what my hubby will conclude when I tell him all this later hahaha).
  • I love that link for the iceland stuff. Going to print out some pictures of our family so the kids can glue in there faces.
  • Hi. I was wondering if someone could help me? Here can I get an elf from and how much do they cost approximately?

You can try ebay, failing that look round the shops. The ones with the more unusual decs.

    Hi
I've got my elf for this year but in homebase they have a singing elf!
    It's 14.99 though.
I'm going o go back after Xmas to see if its been reduced for next year. X
  • Hi, for those of you who are struggling to find an elf, or dont want to pay the stupidly high prices that seem to be floating around at the moment - i finally found the link that i used to make my nephews elf!

they might not be what you envisioned, but they are really easy & cheap to make, my nephews (3 at the time) loved it, and it has lasted soooo well! im making another one for them this year, and one for their baby sister! hth!
