Hi everyone, Im so excited to say that I have found an elf!
She is actually a lovely little rag doll that I got from good old ebay for 99p
She is very pretty with green eyes and lovely orange hair, hence why I'm naming her: Hollie Gingerbelle.
Cant wait for her to arrive so that I can christmas her up with a few accesories and join in the elf fun.:j0 -

I did this last year for my daughter and it was fantastic!
I just wanted to say that I managed to get a girl elf from Build a Bear. I think it is very good value at £16.50 as it is such a lovely elf. Especially compared to the prices I have seen on Ebay.0 -
So looking forward to this now! My girls keep asking whether I think they have been good enough to get an elf and whether the elves have been good enough to be allowed to come!
I have bought a little elf door for the skirting board this year and we have 2 little elves coming this year too so they can come and go through the magic door!
I have also bought lots of little gifts that the elves have supposedly made such as jars of magic dust, Santas little helped badges and some little jars with snowmen in!
Also planning on getting them elves to make my eldest Dd's lunch for school one day, sprinkle her sandwich in edible glitter, pop a Christmas cake in there, etc!
Excited!0 -

I'm going to do some of this it looks a little to much for me you are all very dedecated and i love some of your idea's but making a mess with flour and things which i will have to clean up is not for me. I have found some good free printables hope they help.

I like the seed idea it's nice and simple for me and it will last a couple of days and i will change most of the things on the calender that will make me likely to remember to do the things.0 -
I am loving the Magic Elf idea!!
I have only discovered it in the last two days, when I saw someone (Chicky!) post their elf then read some ideas on the let it snow thread
Thanks to everyone who has posted links and ideas :T:T:T
I ordered our elf yesterday, and spent a couple of hours printing out things and jotting down ideas. Our Elf is going to turn up on the 1st of December and bring advent calendars for the children.
To kick it off though, I got DD (5) to see if the paper had been delivered last night and she found a letter on the mat addressed to the family. It was from Santa announcing that our family had been selected to look after one of the Magic Elves, explaining a bit about it and giving examples of ways they can be good until he arrives next week
She is sooooo excited and went running into school today to tell everyone about the Magic Elf - I'm sure her teacher is going to think she is nuts :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I explained it to a couple of other mums that she told and they think it's a fantastic idea
DS (7) isn't nearly as impressed, I don't think we will have to much longer with him believing, he has always been the questioning type :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. wrap kids school uniforms
make an elf breakfast - mini pancakes & snow (scrambled egg whites) with green milk
