Hello!

I read this thread last year and loved it, but at 2, felt my DD was too young. This year she is almost 4 and so I gave in and ordered an 'elf onthe shelf'. He's here and I have a time table with most days filled in....

do you name your elf in advance or let the kids name it?

anyone got a good elf passport - the printables all seem to be 2010 or 2011 and won't let me change them

Hoping my sister has come up trumps and made a sock monkey style one.
Does anyone know where I can get a letter from Father Christmas (not Santa) as the ones on the website cant be changed.

My daughters found sharing a bit hard so last year our Elf brought her little pet with her. It is a small cute large eyed raccoon type thing in a santa hat holding a candy cane. It's name is Obi and it poops (chocolate raisins) everywhere. They LOVE it and it helps heaps x

I tried Amazon but not despatched for 3-4 weeks. I tried the Book Depository and its just been despatched (still can be 5 days for delivery though!)- I hope my daughter is more patient than me!!

(They also do various Elf on The Shelf ones as well)

Amazon also do a Groovy Girls Chrissy Christmas doll for under £10 delivered- this looks lovely and perhaps just needs a little felt hat to make her more convincing as an elf?

Is it okay if I join in too? I bought a cuddly cute elf in Tescos today for seven pounds, I am printing off the letter and note pad and passport now.Then I am going to sit and plan day by day what he is go to get up to.My child is nine I hope she plays along!!

Not sure if this is any help but can you not copy and paste the writing onto a Word Document on your pc then alter it?
Another option is open both in windows (the one you are copying and a blank page) next to each other and copy the text.
I did the second option, personalising names etc added a bit of clipart and a border then rolled it and tied a ribbon round like a scroll.
