EH it's Ipswich, there's a third building on the other side which is different again but i couldn't get all three in.
Got loads of ideas for cold. May try and take a picture of my breath in my living room at the moment. Do you remember when you were kids and said you were 'smoking' cos your breath came out like smoke? well it's like that in our living room at the moment.0 -
Hello all! I've been lurking away, have decided to keep my pretty basic (canon ixus50) in my bag with me now as I walk/cycle into work so have plenty opportunity to use it rather than have it sit in a drawer at home
Today sprung the chance for catching a few nice snaps. The one below I've titled "Sun, sea and . . . . SNOW!"
Wish I'd caught it at a decent angle though as it's a bit squint as I was trying to keep the bike and myself from falling over :rotfl:The debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time

LT- DOH! So it is - I'm quite emabrassed at having not realised it!
The little gap in the middle there runs through an alleyway with shops and eventually comes out onto the Buttermarket if I recall correctly? The Lakeland building round the back there is also gorgeous - inside and out. As for the freezing breath - just think how much snugger it will be when you get those windows done!
Debtbegone Nicely spotted shot there - Hopefully I will get the chance to get myself out and take some shots for this weeks challenge tomorrow - think I'm unlikely to find anything that scenic though!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

EH suggested I pop over as I was talking about wintery pics elsewhere, so hope you don't mind if I join in. I do have a very nice Fuji Finepix S1500 which I got for Christmas last year, but in fact most of my recent ones have been taken on my phone while out and about. I think they've come out OK except for the ones that are a bit blurry where my hands were shaking with the cold!
Here's a couple anyway...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Ooh, can I join in too please?
Just saw you talking about it over on my little diary
I even went out in the snow specially
(well, not quite, but I did go out to take some pictures) - Sadly I faffed about too much and the sun wasn't shining by the time I went out, pah! Never managed to get a photo to upload to this site properly, so here goes!
(I'll see if that one works before posting the other two! :rotfl:)0 -
Evidently not - pah!0

Lovely trees Squizz, I love trees in all the seasons. The first is my favourite. I feel as if I could just climb into those branches and see the world beyond. Amazing how some leaves are clinging on there in the second. So wintry and cold.
Cheery, flickr wont upload unfortunately.
Not sure if I am going to manage this again this weekend. Is the world trying to tell me to give up on my dream of taking lovely photos do you think. I am not sure that I can hold a camera up after overdoing it by trying to go shopping this afternoon. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Ok, I've figured it out now, can I join in pretty please??
Posted this one somewhere else yesterday, and lots of people seem to like it :rotfl: Hope that's ok!(it's VERY cold here!)
Roses flavoured icicles...
Not sure if you can tell, but this is a rose entirely encased in ice...
Oooh, I'm enjoying this! :T Just for the record, I use my camera a LOT, it's a tiny little Canon Ixus 40, nothing flash, quite old, (and the battery is being really annoying and only lasting for about 30 photos at the minute), but I have no idea how to use it properly, I just put it on one setting and point, occasionally switch to the close up thing, but that's itSo that's my challenge! :j

This isn't my photo - my daughter took it, so excuse the fact that it's a bit wibbly......but I was astounded/gobsmacked and very jealous of what she managed to capture."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
