Thanks Cheri. I kno exactly what you are saying and I was really in two minds to go and see them, but I really wanted into the park to see the alligators and turtles, but once there I had such a struggle with my conscience when sitting watching them. They were just zoo beautiful tho that I couldn't help aiming my lens at them.:oDFW'ers photography comp member no. 60

I know. I adore whales and dolphins, passionate about them. When I was younger I went to Seaworld and it broke my heart. Then my ex OH bought me a trip to swim with dolphins when we were on holiday in Mexico - I cried the whole time that I was there and ended up booking a trip to go out into the wild to see whales and dolphins. The guide was amazing and is now a very good friend. Sometimes you need to see animals in captivity to truly understand why it is important for them to be free. I dont blame you for taking the photos at all, I think it right to appreciate wonderful creatures and enjoy them. Just that I no longer frequent those establishments and try to encourage people to think differently.
Any way, I am not sure if you have ever heard of redbubble.com which is a site where you can display (and sell) your photography. My friend introduced me and he has an account there if you would like to see some amazing whale and dolphin photos check out his work http://www.redbubble.com/people/ecoalf (mine is over there too if you are interested)Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Wow... They are fantastic shots! He has some talent and patience to be able to photograph these animals in the wild!?
I love your portfolio too... Especially love the photo of Moo in the bluebells. HDFW'ers photography comp member no. 60 -
Thanks, yes he is a very talented all rounder. One of those people who is good at whatever he does. He used to own his own nature tour company so could be out at sea for hours and days so these were the best of the shots he got. He sells real estate now so doesnt get out to the ocean as often.
Moo in the bluebells is one of my favourites too. I started putting my work on there to try to gee me into using the camera but I often lapse. Hopefully I will get back into it soon. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. It may still run on, but as a 'look what I took' type thing. TBH, I have been MIA since Jan., but to be honest, my cataracts are getting me down, and until they are done in a couple of weeks, I have really lost the photographic bug.Never Knowingly Understood.

Judging by the diaries of the early days lot I think that we all have quite a lot of personal stuff going on at the moment which means photography is taking a back seat at the moment. Its a shame but these things happen. Perhaps to tick us over we could post up some pictures that we have in stock until we get back on track. Just a thought if we want to keep it going. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar.
