I keep a bottle in the freezer as if I fancy some ice in my Vodka and Cranberry I just knock a lump off ;o)))))0 -
Diable, that was my other idea... A nice cold bottle of beer! Good thinking!DFW'ers photography comp member no. 60

Thanks for the welcome!
Fab pictures everyone, I particularly like Cheery's roses and EH's cup of tea - and Contemplates, that blue sky is stunning.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Loving all of the entries this week.
Contemplates I really like the way that I feel that I could step into the picture and hear the crunch under foot. The sky is beautiful
LT, I too love the sky in your picture. I have always loved looking at the sky but here where I live the sky is so big and the colours are amazing.
Diable that water makes me go brrrrrr
Pippi I think that you have captured the stones really well. I love the first one. The Lichen brings the stone alive I think. The way you have captured the ice is really clever
EH genius. I love the steam rising. Makes me want to go and put the kettle on.
Right - my offering. I am really sorry. I did want to try to be a bit different this week and go looking in new places. Like many others I have been housebound. I managed to get out as far as the forest and that was it again. So very predictable but here is my offeringSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
lovely picture Cheri, it really draws you in as there seems to be a hint of potential warmth in the middle where there's still some autumnal colours.0

Thanks LT. That was what I was trying to capture:) The sunlight was shining into the middle of the forest and I just thought it looked quite ethereal. Glad you saw the same as me. I know this sounds a bit mad but when I looked at the photograph later I thought it looked like a scene from The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. I like that one too Cheri - I love pictures with paths in them, always makes you want to walk down the path and see what's at the end!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Pippi, just looking through my photos last night and thought I'd show you the first pano shot I tried. This is my local boat club....
I did this using free and easy software on the net! You will notice it looks like there are three times as many ducks as were actually there!DFW'ers photography comp member no. 60
