Thats what I was hoping/assumed I am not sure when "overnight" finished but its still 0.0% @ 7.30am. I will give it until 9.00am when I think a call to customer services is needed.

Better late than never, it has popped up at 3.3% this morning took a couple of days but I can rest easier now.

I opened a Skipton 1 year bond today.
I didn't have to provide paper ID - but crikey, the questions & answers. Role model had me scratching my head.

In case you have this bond issue (3.3%) and are wanting to make any further deposits in to it before the issue is closed.

I have just added to this bond myself just now over the telephone using my debit card and the money is showing as credited to my 3.3% bond.
I was told by the Skipton that deposits will be accepted until midnight tonight (24.00 - 19 Nov). The debit card payment option on their website has been down most of today, but they are working to rectify it. You can make the payment over the phone while they are open, up until 5.30pm. After that check the website to see if the option to make debit card deposits is up and running again.

Skipton BS Freephone: 0800 44 67 76 (they are busy, it took about 5 mins to get through!)
Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk
  • The deadline has now been extended until Midnight on Monday if anyone wants to add any more money at 3.3%.
Have only won small things - amounting to just over £100. A lot better than nothing though! :j :hello:
October winnings - bag of organic compost and 2 Grolsch glasses :T

    Number 451 - winnings to date - about £100

Just received this email from Skipton:

hank you for completing an online application form for the 1 Year Limited Edition E-Bond at 3.30% gross pa/AER (annual) or 3.25% gross pa/3.30% AER (monthly).
This Bond offered a market leading rate and due to demand we had to close it to new applications.
However, you still have time to pay into your bond or top up any existing monies as we have extended the cut off date for funds to Friday 26 November 2010.
If you haven’t yet sent your money to us or you wish to top up your bond, please make sure that you have arranged for this to reach us at Principal Office by 5pm on 26 November 2010 ensuring that you allow time for any bank transfer or postage timescales. Don’t forget that you can also pay into your bond by debit card by telephoning us on 08458 501722*.
If you have already sent your deposit to us by cheque or bank transfer and do not wish to invest further, as long as funds are available and you meet the account opening criteria, your application will be accepted and you need not do anything.
After 5pm on 26 November 2010 we will not be able to accept any further investments into this product.
As always, if you have any questions you can call us on 0845 702 5026*. Please do not reply to this email.

    Yours sincerely
