Morning and Happy Christmas
Sorry that I’ve been neglecting my diary, I have been sorting out the £2 coin thread and also we had laptop problems again.
It is nice though because we used the remainder of the bonus money to buy a much needed new one.
Hubby is on board with the saving of the £2 coins as this time they are going towards Christmas 2011, so he’s been putting the odd one in the terramundi too.
Not much else to report at the moment, I need to do a damage report and see just how much we now owe in total and work out my strategy for the coming year. Should be fun along with getting the house sorted to move.
Hope you all had a great Christmas and if I don’t get chance to log on over the next couple of days…Happy New Year too0 -

Happy New Year
I hope you all had a good time?
I'm still in the process of trying to work the finances out and getting there slowly.
My mum is coming down on Wednesday and staying overnight, she is looking after the kids for me whilst I go to work. My two go back to school on Thursday but the school I work at go back the day before.
I've been thinking about NSD's and if I can I am going to try and aim for 4 a week, this should theoretically be achievable.
We are taking the tree and the decorations down today and try and get the house looking like a house again.
I need to try and do a meal plan and get that sorted for the month, hopefully when DH gets paid on the 15th we won't need that much food wise.
Have a good day everyone. xx0 -

Well DH has gone back to work today, not feeling very well but he’s gone in armed with Lemsip.
I have done the damage report for the Christmas period and it looks dire, but should be okay once DH’s expenses for December come in.
The credit card was a whopping £3986.26, I have taken off that the amount for various bits purchased out of the bonus and the credit card now stands at £3328.17, this now gives me a focus and can work out the rest of the money when DH gets paid. My aim is that only the minimum will get paid next month and then I will be back on track financially for March.
DH has 11 days until payday; my car still has a full tank of petrol as I’ve not used my car over the Christmas period. I need to have lots of NSD’s in between now and payday and walking to school and back as well as walking to work and back too.
Food wise we are ok, the freezer is still fairly full, although I do need to do the menu plan.
The only spend today should hopefully just be a McDonalds lunch and a go in the soft play centre, I promised the kids that they would get this but the rest of the week should be a NSW as I go back to work tomorrow and the kids go back to school on Thursday. Normal week will resume the following week.
I have DH’s birthday at the end of the month and I get paid the Thursday before so that should give me plenty of time to get something for him.
This will be our year, come hell or high water!0 -
Morning diarists and lurkers,
Hope everyone is okay today?
I go back to work today...yippeeemy lovely mum is coming down to watch the kids for me.
DH is working at the flying club on Saturday so I should be able to achieve my 4 NSD's this week as I don't think we need anything.
10 days until DH's payday, it can't come soon enough this month.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Hello Tea,
I'm finding NSDs quite easy this week as i'm just all shopped out after the mad december buying spree.
Hope going back to work was fun0 -
Afternoon everyone,
My mum went home todaybut she did get lots of cuddles off the kids so she was a happy bunny.
I have been to Tesco’s today and got a few bits that we needed but no unnecessary spends so happy there.
I still haven’t done my menu plan….please feel free to kick or slap me at any point if I haven’t done it by tomorrow.
Finances are up to date though so I’m happy about that.0 -
Morning diary,
It’s Friday again; is it me or is has it gone quick this week?
DH gave me two £2 coins last night and these have gone into the terramundi, I have been putting 50p’s in there but I fear I may need to take them out as I think they will be needed for other things, all the other change is being saved as much as possible towards Christmas so not too bad there I think all in all.
Talking of Christmas, I have bought the crackers and some wrapping paper for this year so that’s all sorted
Are you sitting down??? Please don’t faint but I have finally done my meal plan up to when DH gets paid next week. When I do the main shop next week I will do another one and get back into the habit of doing them again.
On other news, I was asked to go into work early yesterday 10am as opposed to 11:30am so a bit extra money earned there, I could happily do with more of those over the next few weeks or so.
Next week I am aiming to get back into a routine again, I’ve sort of made a start this week I’m trying to get the washing up done before the school run and to make use of my time that I do have before I go to work; for example today I made lasagne for dinner and it is in the oven and I have done two loads of washing.
The money I paid off the credit card has updated and my total matches theirs, just need to figure out how much I can pay off this month. I might go off the worst case scenario figure and see what we have left to play with and go from there.
NSD today, three racked up so far this week with tomorrow being on the list for my fourth. I will get another four next week with any luck.
Right off to work and then clean the bathroom when I get back before I collect the kids from school.0 -
Good work Tea
