Just a quick update before I head off to the school, DH got a letter from work today....

He got a bonus can't decide what to do with it though, will wait until his pay is in the bank next week I think before I decide.

We bought the kids a Wii for Christmas so we are taking that off the total once it comes through.

I’m back; I have been hiding from here and just lurking on FB. I have been waiting for the last bit of the background stuff to get sorted and it has, it has now been taken out of our hands to be dealt with and we can relax now. I just want to add that I never want to go through that again but at least now I can focus on Christmas, debt busting and 2011.

DH did get his bonus it was in his pay yesterday, I have put the money aside for the car taxes out of it so far and need to see whether DH paid for the Wii on credit card so that I can pay it off that.

I am going to see my friend and his wife today to give them their Christmas present and then I am off to work.

Christmas wise, we are nearly sorted just a few food bits to get and the kids’ presents to wrap. We are off to SiL’s on Boxing Day so that will be nice we are staying over too so we can get ‘merry’ lol.

I am at work Monday and Tuesday next week although my kids finish on Friday the school I work at finishes on Tuesday; DH has taken leave to look after them.

I need to think about my ‘Plan’ for 2011 and get it down on here so that I know what and were I want us to be, that’s something I can work on today.

My plan for today is to get motivated.

Today hasn’t quite turned out the way DH expected it to; he lost his travel card for the week so will have to pay for two separate ones for today and tomorrow. Never mind, just one of those things I guess.

Anyhow, I have been pondering my list for 2011 and although they aren’t resolutions they are aims for the coming year. My list looks like this:

• House – This needs decluttering (bomb would be better) and decorating.
• Kids – I need to spend more time with them, I feel like I spend too much time on FB playing games than actually spending time with them.
• Finances – I need to get my act together and get my plan of action for this rolling, I do not want to be stuck with the credit card bill as high as it is once September 2011 arrives.
• Work – As much as I love the school I am working at, I really need more hours, so need to investigate a better job in a different school once the new jobs roll out next year.
• Me – Find time to do the things I like to do (tapestry is a love of mine), exercise a bit more and try to relax more.
• Christmas – I will be more organised for next Christmas.

I did try to think of 10 things I would like to change next year but thinking about it under each of the top three aims there are other little aims incorporated into them that I want to achieve, so I think I have enough to keep me going for the time being.

Right I must dash off to work, only four days to work – today, tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday

It’s a snowy morning here with even more snow predicted; I will be walking the kids to school as well as walking to work. I daren’t drive in this weather, it’s too scary. At least the petrol that I put in the car will still be there come January; as DH will be at home we tend to use his car

I have restarted with the £2 coin thread again, I enjoyed doing it last time but it was nice to have a break away from it last year. I’m not sure what I am going to do with mine just yet, but I am going to put them in my terramundi to build up.

I have also joined the ‘Pay as much of your debt as possible’ challenge with the pledge to pay off the credit card. I need to find out just what DH has put back on to it and what the current total is so that I can start afresh to clear it.

I can foresee next year being rather hectic but I think and hope it will be worth it.
