  • Morning peeps sorry not updated but it’s been hectic here not just with the snow and ice but with the background stuff also.

Thankfully the snow and ice are now melting and we only have one bit left to deal with when it comes to the background stuff (I hope!).

So DH and I have been thinking and we want to move house, what has been going on has re-ignited our need for a different area and a bigger house. So next year is Operation House Move 2011 and we will spend next year decorating, de-cluttering and tidying the house/garden ready to put it on the market.

The moneysaving has been going well, we have even more of the Overdraft Money left and DH gets paid in 10 days time, so next week I need to go through the finances and see what I can overpay to the credit card, DH’s expenses will be late this month as DH hasn’t been able to get into work to sort them out so need to factor that in too.

Quidco finally paid out £55 for the Home Insurance I took out half way through the year.

There is only one payment left to come out before DH gets paid and I still have presents for the kids to buy for. Plan next week is to finish them off and stash them away.

Climbing club for DS today, I didn’t think we’d get there this week due to the snow but it’s now melting so shouldn’t be a problem travelling wise.

Thanks Lula, Chev, Hypno and anyone I've forgotten to metion :A :kisses3:

    Hi Tea,

good to hear from you & that you are marching towards the new year with new plans & your admirable determination :)

    xx
  • Happy Monday everyone, school’s are open again. Due to the ice there is no way I’m driving anywhere today so walking to work and school is on the cards; there is no climbing club for DD today so I don’t need to rush this afternoon.

I am aiming for at least 4 NSD’s this week, I know that we will need a few things from Tesco’s and at some point, put some petrol in the car and I will need to get DH’s contact lenses from the shop in the valley but I think that will be all.

I ended up spending the £2 coins that I had collected but they went on shopping we needed so wasn’t wasted. I have a lot of 20p’s that I need to bag up, these need to go to the bank at some stage.

    My plan for this week:
    • Change beds
    • Clean bathroom
    • Hoover through
    • Bank
    • Christmas presents

I’m not planning on getting very much done today as I will literally have an hour once the kids are at school.

Have a good day everyone and I will try to update later.

hope you've had a good day.
  • Morning peeps,

Didn’t get chance to update yesterday afternoon, I walked to school with the kids then on to my school and back and picked the kids up from school and we walked back home again. Too much walking I was freezing by the time I got home again.

Yesterday was a NSD but today I am attempting to be brave and take the car out for a spin (not literally but you never know). I need to go spending today but the rest of the week should be NSD if I’m lucky.

Been reading Hypno’s diary and there are some very good tips there, I agree about changing direction when it’s needed with regard to the debt busting; I think my attitude has changed since I started my first diary and to the position we are in now but I still think I have a lot to learn and a way to go before we are debt free.

Right off to get the kids motivated and out the door, I plan to take it easy driving as it is in the minus’s here so very cold and very, very icy.

Have a good day everyone and I will again try to update later.
