    Hi Tea,

hope your usual energy & enthusiasm has returned now. I always use minadex tonic when DD is a bit run down & a dissovable vitamin c tablet, might help pep you up a bit.

Failing that, a glass of wine or some chocolate often has the desired effect - depending on the time of day ;)
  • Well my whole new housework strategy has failed miserably this week; I think it’s just a mixture of PMT and the change in the weather. Thanks for the minadex tip Lula, I’ve not heard of that before but will defiantly keep it in mind.

Spent a total of £10 today, I got a few bits and pieces muchly needed but haven’t spent anything else.

We still have money in the bank, granted it is overdraft money but it goes to show that we can get to this point near to when DH gets paid and we aren’t scrapping around for money. Will try harder next month especially as we’ve got Christmas coming up.

hi purple, sorry to hear you are feeling rough. nice to see that your control of the money is getting better, great feeling isn't it. I am kinda nosey about what jobs you and OH do, as I am trying to understand just who is going to be losing things like child tax credits and child benefit. It seems a loony thing to do to me...

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • Hi Chevalier – I work in a school part time serving kids their lunches and DH is a project manager. We don’t qualify for tax credits as DH earns too much and we will loose the child benefit for the same reason.

I’m happy that we are more in control of our finances than we were a while a go and I agree it is a good feeling. Just need to tweak things a bit more and hopefully things will fall in to place next year.

I need a serious talk with myself! Something is bothering me but I don’t know what as I can’t think of anything that would be making me feel like there is, IYKWIM? Oh well it’ll right itself in time.

I have been contemplating next year and what I want to achieve, there are at least 10 things that I can think of that can be improved or sorted, I need to write them down separately so that I can refer to them.

Today is a NSD, so that’s a good thing. I won’t be using my car over the weekend so I don’t need to fill it up until Monday (DH payday).

I have got the shopping being delivered on Tuesday next week there is a lot of Christmas food on the list so that needs to separated from my monthly food budget.

I also need to get to grips and find out what I have bought for people for Christmas and what I need to get and sort that out over the next few weeks. That I think will be my challenge for next week.

Tomorrow DH is working at the flying club and the kids have a birthday party to go to in the afternoon.

ETA: Just checked the credit card and it is slightly more than I thought £3622.75 so need to come up with even more money to clear it, I love a challenge....I think!
  • Dear Purpletea65... Thanks for reading my diary, I just wanted to pop in to yours and say hi...I hope your laptop is holding ok together ;-)
You gave me an idea now. I am thinking on the 10 things that I want to achieve next year. Why don't you start a new thread and let see what eveyone else comes up with. To be honest I cannot even think of one right now but I am sure it will come to me...:p
    Don't forget smiling :):):)
  • I need to disappear for a little while as there is a lot of background carp going on that is horrendous and I cannot publish on here or Facebook.

I will be back when it settles down a bit. xx

    BAAAARRRRRRRRRRKING er insanely so :o
  • Morning peeps,

Sorry I had to disappear last week but there is a lot going on at home at the moment that I cannot publish. There will be times over the next few weeks and possibly months where I won’t be posting on my diary due to the present situation.

Anyway enough of that, I need my diary and I need to keep track of where we are debt wise so I am back.

I made a payment of £434.80 off the credit card last week although I suspect that DH has added to it since then.

I have sold something on Amazon…first thing in months so quite pleased with that. I also have £20 in £2 coins to go in the bank.

I need to try and get as much housework done as possible as the house looks like a bomb’s hit it.

Final week of finishing at lunchtime and DD goes full time at school :D she is so ready for it.

I need to get the meal plan sorted for the month, so need to go through the freezer and cupboards and get that done.

I also get paid on Thursday :) so that helps matters on the money side of things.

I am aiming for a lot of NSD’s this week which should be achievable.

WTBF – Glad you liked my 10 things idea, I think I might post the thread and see what everyone does come up with. Laptop is still holding out (just).

    Shaun – Thanks hun :A
