He wants me to pay more towards DS3's keep. I already give him more than I can afford, plus buy clothes and pay for school trips. His wages are three times what I get...............and his Sol threatened me with the CSA unless I give him 15% of my wages. That would leave me with about £20 at the end of the month. All this while he's driving around in a brand new BMW :mad::mad:

Sorry about the rant...........this diary was supposed to be positive thoughts only. I'm absolutely fuming!!

Hey - this is your diary and you are free to vent or rejoice at will;)

What an awful letter......surely they cannot impose such an increase given your circumstances?
    and.....
I totally agree with Karom - you fight back. This is petty bullying tactics and karma will bite him squarely on the a*s:):):)

    MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D

I agree with the others. H's petty nonsense last week when you were supposed to meet DS3 was warning enough - this guy is going to play dirty. You make sure your solicitor knows all the facts. Don't let H get away with it.

Big hugs for your pants week but fight! fight! fight!
  • Morning everyone, thank you for the kind words and all the encouragement.

His letter pushed me off balance for a couple of days, but thats it now.

I've had my "wobbly" moment, but I'm back now and if he wants a fight he's going to get one.

Another thing in the letter was he accused me of not contributing towards keeping DS2 and DS3 at Uni. Before they went, I spent about £450 on clothes and stuff they needed, plus took DS3 and got him kitted out with new school uniform etc. I gave them cash before they went (not as much as I would have liked) and since they've gone, I've transferred money to DS1 to pay for books and to DS2 to pay for a fridge for his room (when I'm using a 2nd hand one myself). Anyway, I phoned the boys last night and asked them if they were ok for money or if they'd had to ask their dad for a top-up. Both said they were managing fine and haven't had any extra money from H. I didnt let on why I was asking!

I'm not as green as he thinks I am, I've been keeping a list of all the money I've given towards the boys and all the extras I've been buying on top of all that. Last night I've been getting my paperwork organised for the Form E. I should have most of it organised and copied by the end of the week and I have an app with my Sol on Tuesday.

    So bring it on!

I spose I'd better go to work, at least the situation there isn't as bad as everyone thought it was. We had a staff meeting last week, so I feel a little bit more secure in my job now.

Just checked ebay and two of the things I relisted last night have sold...........yayyy
Have a good sunday everyone and thanks again for the encouragement x

    Hi Snowdonlily:)

I think a wee bit cheering up is much needed and well deserved....why not have a wee look on ASOS at the Cath Kidson bags and goodies. If you spend £11 and enter voucher SORRYROW201010494 you will receive £10 off and free delivery
    :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I know it's not very MSE to encourage a spending splurge, however if you're canny you might be able to pick up a wee treat for yourself for £1.

Hope you're all having a nice day;)

  • oooooh thanks nattypants I'll have a look at that when I get home later :)

Its lunchtime now and I'm on a mission. I've been photocopying bank statements and utility bills etc, getting things organised for next week.

I'll need to go to the bank in my lunch hour tomorrow to get copy statements for the old joint account. I took my name off it in August, but I presume I can still get copy statements up to that date?

A friend called me this morning. H's been telling all and sundry in the local last night that I won't get a penny from the house as he's transferred it to his dad's name. The house is in joint names.......does he think people are daft? Its all about saving face!

I had a go at the mortgage checker last night. Based on my wages I should be able to get a mortgage of up to about 85k, so after last weeks wobbler, feeling quite positive now

  • Sitting in front of a lovely log fire with a cup of tea...............no wine unfortunately. I'm restricting myself to one bottle a week, and after last weeks letter, I drank it all in one evening :rotfl::rotfl:

Most of the paperwork ready now for the Sol. All I need now is Nov's payslip which I'll get on Wednesday.

I need to do some calculations, but I think I've managed to stay within my budget for the November grocery challenge :T

I'm off to have a look at the Asos site now, thank you so much for that code nattypants :):):):):):):)

    hi there
sorry to hear that you are having a tough time with ex OH at the moment. but well done for putting yourself first, even if it is hard at the moment.

What a git to go around saying that about the house. And surely you got on ok with your in laws so that they wouldn't help him defraud you, cos that is what they would be doing in my opinion

good luck with the Sol next week

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
