  • Hi

Glad to see you have got your fighting head on, make sure you get everything you are due and don't let him use emotinal blackmail re the children, I hate it when people think they can use the kids as sme sort of weapon to get what they want.

When I went through my divorce I got a letter from Ex's sols stating that the only reason we had anything was due to Ex's hard work, never mind the fact I had worked fulltime til DS1 was 2 years old and after that I had childminded 5 days a week and done ALL the housework and decorating etc (Ex was hopeless around the house). I was understandably furious to get this letter and it was a real turning point for me, the sleeves were rolled up and the fight was on!!!!:rotfl:

Good luck with everything and don't let the !!!!!! get you down!!

hi snowdonlily just found your diary and have subscribed to it. Keep fighting the ex he maybe in for a nice surprise when he realises what he is up against, you go girl we're all behind you. Loads of hugs and i'll have a glass of wine for you, well its my excuse to have another glass, cheers.

Hi amber thanks for saying hi, and the support.........oh, and thanks for reminding me to stop on the way home for a bottle of wine! :)

Thanks Chevalier can't wait to get in to see the Sol tomorrow. I've got a list as long as your arm, I had to buy a new notebook!

321 thanks for dropping in and saying hi. I know exactly what you mean about using the kids as a weapon. I was supposed to see DS3 this evening, but he just texted me to tell me he can't come 'cos his dad's taking him for a haircut!

The gloves are well and truly off! Managed to get all the copy bank statements I needed and you can clearly see how much I was contributing to running the house.

I don't know if I'm doing the right thing, but Ive started seriously looking for my Labradoodle. I've seen some advertised not too far from here, just phoned the number but no reply, so left my details and hopefully they'll phone me back later. I've wanted one for years :)

I'll keep you posted about the doodle and about what the Sol says tomorrow x

    Hi Snowdonlily:)

Wow your soon-to-be-ex is really playing daft games - that's ridiculous that he "decided" to take your son for a haircut when you were supposed to be seeing him:(:(:( (just remember the Karma payback;))

I really do think labradoodles are lovely, great company and very loyal.
Now for the practical bit.....doggies can be very demanding wee things with regards to meals, walks, and general looking after. I am only saying this as I constantly have to make sure I'm home in time for my pooch's tea etc. when sometimes I'd love to go straight out after work for a drink or meal...
Now for the heart bit.........I wouldn't be without my dog, her constant love, need for cuddles, and need for muchos walks which make me do *some* exercise:D:D:D
If the wee labradoodle is meant for you, he/she won't pass you by:)

I look forward to hearing your next installment.

  • Hi Snowdon lily

I know what you mean about lossing friends when you go through a divorce. One very close (or so I thought) friend turned int a real b*tch when I went through mine. She came to my new house (which is smaller and older than my previous one) and said 'Oh I realise now just how unhappy you must have been if you are prepared to live in a house like this'!! COW!!

You will find out who your true friends are and they will be your friends for life, divorce is a real test of loyalties.

    Good luck

Sorry to hear about DS3 at least once the divorce settlement is finalised, so will be the custody and access so this will be less of an issue...good luck with the labradoodle. You have to make sure you know just how much of each you are getting though, as it will affect the temprament.

Sorry also to hear that you have lost some friends, and 3 kids indeed what a cow to say that lol

:grouphug: Just sending a hug to keep you going. Hope your solicitor is giving you good advice and positivity.

Keep that notebook busy. I know your DSs aren't small children but resist playing the same nasty games as OH. Take the moral high ground but keep up regular and friendly contact (texts, emails) with the boys but resisiting slagging 'him' off.

I tend to agree about the dog commitment thing but it occurred to me that the boys might love to visit him/her!!

keep going snowdenlily just remember a dog is more faithful than a man and wont give you as much grief.

As for friends your true friends are with you through thick and thin and you've made alot of friends on here.

  • Hi everyone, just a quick hello, I'll be back later with a proper update.

The Sol was great, I know they get a lot of bad press, but mine is fantastic, I'm going to buy her a big box of chocs when everything is settled!

Went to see the doodle yesterday (my friend came with me), couldnt resist her she's beautiful. Just need to think of a name for her now :)

Hope everyone had a good Wednesday x
