I received a letter yesterday confirming my first cold weather payment. I live in Bristol and the letter was from a job centre in Plymouth. I have never received anything from this job centre before.

Still nothing in mine, rang the local BDC and they have told me to ring back in two weeks if nothing has appeared in the mean time.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

My advice is not to bother ringing lol

I made a call today the woman refused to take my NI number or name, and told me to wait for payment, if I say i'm entitled to it, then I will get it, no need for her to check.
If I haven't recieved it by 20th December that is when they would chase it up.

  • Hi,
I received a letter from DWP about the cold weather this morning and it states "You will get a cold weather payment for every week when the average temperature is freezing or below" but on the direct gov website and this site it's stated as "Payments will be made when the local temperature is recorded as, or forecast to be, zero degrees Celsius or below over seven consecutive days." Which info is correct? An average temperature of below freezing for one week is statistically a lot harder to achieve than the temperature going below freezing for the seven day period.

If the temperature averages 0c or below over a 7 day period you will qualify.

It could be 3c one day and -6 the next but it's the 7 day mean which counts.
I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

Hello ,My aunt is 90 and lives in Pudsey ,West Yorks,I keep looking on the gov site and it says she has had two triggersto which she has received not one payment yet,she said she called on fri to ask about payments, but she said she had to call Dundee.

I received one payment out of two triggers for the Milton Keynes area and the address on my pensions letter is Cardiff, could anyone advise me if the pensions Yorkshire area comes under Dundee Scotland, and Milton Keynes under Cardiff,Wales ???I presumed all OAP pensions came from Cardiff????as I have promised to enquire for her on Monday,as she easily gets confused.
    thank you
