If they get IR ESA there is other parts that it would qualify for a CWP. (highlighted in red for you.)richard9991 wrote: »wrong appealing esa will be the assesment rate you have to be getting esa ib at the main wrag /support rate to get cwpsIncome-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
If you are in receipt of Income-related ESA, you will usually receive Cold Weather Payments if you also have any of the following:- the support or work-related component of ESA
- a severe or enhanced disability premium
- a pensioner premium
- a child who is disabled
- Child Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element
- a child under five living with you

Really sorry for asking the same question. However a little confused.
At the Moment I am on Esa, and get a work related component. As i was placed in a work related activity group last year. I attended all The meetings with the advisor. It was around the same time the weather dropped last year and i received 5 cold weather Payments. Did i get them because i was attending the meetings? As i am not seeing no advisor now, but still receiving my work related component in total £91.40. - Will i receive a CWP this year?
1 Cold weather payment has been triggered in the YO1 area. I have storage heaters & N Power Now want £127.00 a month So i really could do with the extra.
I am single
No children
And just receive Esa. I think it's Income Based, iv gone through all my letter's and can't find anything of which say's Its either contribution based or Income based.
I'm guessing Income Based, as I am Only 20 and have been claiming for around 18 months.
All help and advice much appreciated.0 -

Payments will be made when the average temperature for where you live is recorded as, or forecast to be, zero degrees Celsius or below over seven consecutive days.*SIGH*
