Hi i currently claim income-based jobseekers allowance,
and so am entitled to cold weather payments.

I just checked my postcode and there has been 1 period of qualifying weather between 1st Nov and 1st December,
but so how do i know when exactly i get my payment??

As i want to make sure that i do get it!

    Thanks
You keep checking your bank it will come under CWP £25.00
Just making sure you know there is more to a cold weather payment than just get IBJSA don't you?

Who can get Cold Weather Payments?

If you are in receipt of Pension Credit, Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance or Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), you may also be able to get Cold Weather Payments.
    Pension Credit

If you are in receipt of Pension Credit, you will usually receive Cold Weather Payments.
Income Support and Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance

If you are in receipt of Income Support or Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, you will usually receive Cold Weather Payments if you also have any of following:
    • a disability or pensioner premium
    • a child who is disabled
    • Child Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element
    • a child under five living with you
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

If you are in receipt of Income-related ESA, you will usually receive Cold Weather Payments if you also have any of the following:
    • the support or work-related component of ESA
    • a severe or enhanced disability premium
    • a pensioner premium
    • a child who is disabled
    • Child Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element
    • a child under five living with you

This evening I have triggered in SL2 area the second CWP - that has changed from this morning when it was still only one.

It's a bit like bank loans and credit cards, you need to read the small print.

;) but not to worry Angel/booybabe/april/rothschild I'm sure your gambling profits will keep you warm this winter.

2nd trigger for my postcode today....had checked yesterday I think it was and was still one but has been updated to 2 today.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
