Does anyone know when they are likely to be paid? This month/December? The payment is a genuine bonus for me to stay warm. Thanks.
It says on the directgov website that it normally takes up to 12 days to process a payment. How often that happens in reality I dont know. You should recieve a letter shortly notifying you, but by then the payment has normally reached your bank account.0 -
Ive just checked my postcode and it says there has been a trigger for my area so will keep an eye on my bank account. It has always just been paid automatically in the past.0

PL4 doesn't have one.
It looks like most of the country has triggered a payment, just spoke to my 90 year old cousin in Leeds and the weather is really bad and cold and snowing thick there, and she is only due one payment so far,but I live in Milton Keynes where the sun is shining and blue sky at the moment and no snow falling and very little on the ground, but we also have triggered a payment ,I suppose it must be for night time temps.
Told my cousin I am off down the canal and river now to walk my dog,lol she said dont get stuck in the snow,I said I cant because there is not much about here, and the road is clear as I live on the bus route.0 -
It isn't only for night temps although more often than not night temps usually fall. It also depends where you are from the weatherstation that triggers your postcode e.g. PL4-12 is the Plymouth station, PL19-21 is northWyke.
We all had a very mild first half of November and it is only the past 8 days or so (although it feels a lot longer) that 0 or minus has been recorded. It can also feel colder than it actually is if you take the wind factor into it.
I'm sure most of the country will have had one trigger in the next few days looking at the forecast.0 -
I have had a trigger and been paid for one instance.
EDIT: the trigger was on Monday 29th Nov (I think, or perhaps a day or two before) and the payment arrived today.0
