Exactly, the same super smart ones who have x ray vision, 6th sense and sharper minds and reactions than anyone else, ......... or so they think;)

My main pet hate on indicators are those p*llocks who are turning into a side road from a main road. They brake, THEN indicate.
the proper routine is to indicate THEN brake.... if you are indicating first I can anticipate your next move, whereas if you brake first, I may think you are about to come to a stop due to traffic/small child in the road...
If people do not indicate in front of me I just say to myself 'I'll indicate for you shall i????'
And do not get me started on people using their fog lights at night when there is clear visibility.....If the world is a stage... I want better lighting!0 -
Erm yes everyone.. Though when you see someone waiting to cross the road your turning into you really should use one.

Indicators are for indicating intent to those who might benefit from the signal. If there's no-one there to benefit, you don't indicate.
10 out of 10 for the most arrogant and self opinionated post I've read for ages :T:T:T
So you are approaching a junction awaiting clear traffic, nothing behind, so no need for a signal. Then something has appeared in your rear view while you where watching the cross traffic. Do you signal then? just as you pull off?, or would it have been a little more considerate to have indicated earlier on the chance that it could have helped the other car position themselves correctly and avoided any possible confusion.
Consider by the law of averages 50% of drivers are below average standard:eek:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

Mirror's, signal, maneuver.....
Those who indicate after braking are simply indicating out of habit. Those who indicate at the correct time (which is aproximately 100yrds before a turn on normal 30mph roads) are the people who have observed and reacted to the road conditions.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

To be honest it sounds like to point I have been trying to make is just beyond your grasp, so I'll disengage before any more thinking hurts your tiny little mind.0 -

Make that 2 UnderPressure:)
I'm with you on this lazziness of people indicating, winds me right up as we're taught to use them when taking driving lessons also as instructed in the highway code! Afterall it says sod all about using a crystal ball!!
When a few years back i took my HGV class 2, I was taught to always expect the unexpected regarding other road users when your in a lorry, how right that lesson was:cool:0 -

No don't get me started either as this is a real bugbear of mine too, one explanation I got once is that they're 'driving lights'
Also people that sit for ages in cues of traffic with there brake lights on at night:mad:0 -
Actually it does. That's one of the main themes of advance motoring. If you learn to anticipate what *might* happen you are prepared if it does.

If the point you are trying to make is still trying to justify why you should not be bothered using your indicators then yes it is wayyyyyyyyyyy beyond me.
I also thank you for your consideration for my tiny mind lol I guess one day if I become educated I too will see the error of my ways and become to LAZY to use my indicators.

Question - whats wrong with doing all the observation and then indicating anyway?
What's the point in indicating if the only creatures present to see it have no clue what it means? If you can prove to me that birds, cattle, sheep, rabbits etc understand indicator use I'll start using it all the time. In the mean time I'll continue to indicate when other vehicles/pedestrians are present but not when I'm on my own in the middle of no where. And trust me, there are places in rural Aberdeenshire where no one can hear you scream0
