Just wondered if anyone had any top tips for how to vary dyno soup? I'm meal planning at the mo, and much though I love it I thought I'd spice things up by varying it a bit. I'm thinking of adding a half tonne of sweetcorn to the next batch (;)) but apart from that?

And the other thing is any unusual packed lunch suggestions?

I started making a lovely butternut squash soup....then chucked in loads of Dyno rod ingredients :o Its now called my seriously confused soup.....tastes lovely though :D

Sweetcorn would be good in it.....But be warned of the affects of Dyno Rod & Sweetcorn together  Im saying no more :rotfl::rotfl:

I got the new xmas book yesterday, can't say I was overly impressed tbh!

Anyway, I have been doing mostly ok...have gone over syns on a couple of occasions but not in a big way. I have stifado in the slow cooker...it smells really nice xx

I am going to get some more pork on Monday for the chinese pork dish again....I will give it the kids this time too, I am pretty sure they will eat it.

    Mel x

    Hellllloooo All

Its a lot brighter (between the downpours) here today, but forecast to get bad again later
    - typical seeing as Ive just been reminded that were out tonight for MILs Birthday meal at a resteraunt/pub situated just about as remote in the wilderness as you can get  Even the sheep wear an extra coat its that wild up there lol :rotfl:

So Im having to do a flexi day today as weve been to this place before(every time its her Birthday :o) and I know that nothing on their menu is too SW friendly (tho very very nice :p) I could I suppose If I asked make my meal more friendly but its more hassle than its worth when all OH's family is there IYKWIM :o
so I'l just have a main course....and maybe share some of OH's pud,I cant drink with my meds (grumble grumble ) so i'l only have to worry about the synful tipsy chicken nomnomnom (brandy & cream sauce) and it comes with new spuds & veggies..... and any pud that enters my tum :D maybe if I say 45 syns?? and cut back for the next couple of days along with superspeeding it up I wont do too much damage?

Today so far Ive had a neutral day of just fruit and Im going to have my A&B of ryvita&mad cow with the last of my confused soup in a bit just to keep the hunger at bay before the meal.

    Sound like a plan??
  • A flexi day now and then doesnt hurt. You still have to have a life!!

I will be having flexi day on 3rd Dec when the office are going for an indian. No idea how many syns that will need but I am sure its a lot.

How do you make syn free quiche? x
My version is to put veg in the bottom of a tin (sweetcorn, peppers, sometimes tinned asparagus, tomatoes etc), make up a pack of tomato and herb pasta and sauce, mix that with 3 eggs and 150g cottage cheese and pour it over the veg, then bung it in the oven. I have it for lunch pretty much every day, it's lovely!
