You can freeze mushrooms. Wash and dry them, slice up, pop in a freezer bag and chuck them in the freezer. I then add them to bolognaise, stroganoff etc straight from the freezer. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

I hope theres no wind until after sword fighting ......... I imagine you could do a fair bit of damage with a JET PROPELLED SWORD in your hand :rotfl::rotfl:
Luckily for me we did sword and buckler, had a few rumblings in my tummy but still nothing. I dread to think what would of happened if we had been doing floor work and grappling as I often end up in the most oddest of positions and ones not so lady like!! I did halve all ingredients though to make the portions smaller, I dont have space for huge amounts in my freezer.
Bring it on for Astanga yoga tomorrow and the pro longed downward dog position:eek:0 -

hi all
well i had WI this morning and another 1lb off so only 2 to go to target !!
think i will have to find the money to go til target as it would be foolish of me to give up now.
macaroni pudding was VILE won't be doing that again !
i have just discovered if you have some fat free fromage frais in the bottom of the tub (probably about 125g) , add twice as much of frozen raspberries then put it back in the fridge for an hour , mix it all up and it is like a kind of sorbet desert - yummy0 -
whoever was asking about mushroom recipes, I make a lovely and dead easy mushroom soup:
Roughly chop a load of mushrooms and an onion or 2 (bit rough but any quantities works really!), fry until soft (in frylight) then add some veg or chicken stock, bring to the boil, remove from the heat then blend! You can add some yogurt, fromage frais or quark to make it creamy if you want but I like it as it is. Also nice with leeks in too.0 -

I have it marinading in the fridge as we speak:) I have also prepped the bean burgers from the comfort book..Both of these are 'new' recipes that I have never tried before so I am hoping they are nice:cool:hi all

Well done, you are so close to target, it would be a shame if you had to give up now...
Could you try extra, extra hard this week and do loads of excercise, eat loads of superfree and drink loads of water...maybe you could get that last pesky 2lb off in one go and then get free classes:money:
I went shopping today, and spent a fortune...I did get loads of basics though, that I seemed to have run out of all at the same time (don't you just hate that) Anyway, plenty of fruit and veg, I actually meal planned for the whole week, and have some fabby dishes coming up this week:D
Mel xUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
I'm starting to worry now - its nearly WI day (wednesday) and I haven't stuck to plan very much, and its been 2 weeks since my last WI
Lets see what happening tomorrow. Think I'll need the extra healthy extras so I'll go green:
cereal bar (b) flask of coffee (a)
sausage, sliced cold potatoes and herb philly (a & b) for lunch
Dinner: a small bowl of veg soup before I go to my first pilates lesson (how I got talked into this i don't know, apart from the fact that this happened the same night as the 2 bottles of wine :rotfl:) tomorrow eve, then I think I'll make my girl guides vege chilli afterwards, which is as follows:
tin of baked beans
tin of drained red kidney beans
tin of chopped tomatoes
chilli powder
all heated up together, over an open fire for best effect, whist singing kumbyahI usually add some onions and whatever veggies are hanging around - mixed peppers tomorrow probably.

HELLO ALL,
Finally caught up with you all - it's taken 3 days!
I've had a bit of a bad time the last few days, I have been on plan but every now and then I really have had a longing for something sweet. I hope I'm still within target cos I'm off on holiday on Thursday for a week and would really have liked to be under target. Never mind. Last time I went on holiday I actually lost 2 lb cos the food was beautiful and the choice was great. That was 2 years ago and I was almost at target at that time.
Well done all the losers, and a big welcome to all new comers.
Have laughed at all the windy talk and will probably be making a huge amount of dyno rod soup on my return from sunnier climes!!
Congratulations Mrs. M that's a great achievement.
Good luck to you all, have a good week. xx0
