Sorry to hear about your friend Gizmo.
FitorBust - sorry to hear about DH's job - have everything crossed for you at such a worrying time.0 -
hi all
i am thinking of joining slimming world tomorrow night but i am very nervous. if i go it will be on my own and i am not very good in going into places on my own.
can anyone give me a brief run down on how the meetings work?
i have done WW years ago and lost a huge amount of weight (pre hubby and baby) but I do not feel as I would be that 'into' it to make it work again.
i want to sink my teeth into something new and get excited about it.
we are off to australia at the start of next month, so would love to drop close to a stone by then (if i am lucky)
thanks all0 -
Gizmo - hugs, thinking of you and your friend.
FitorBust - will keep fingers crossed that your oh job is ok
Weigh in last night and lost half a pound, which I was pleased with as not been well and so not exercised. Only two pounds more to lose to get to my club10 target.0 -
AngelFairy - go for it, it is a great feeling to join and get the support of the group !0

Morning all. WI last night was bad news again
I put on 2lbs, thats 4.5lbs on in the last 4 weeks :eek::eek:
I have GOT to get back onto plan properly instead of kidding myself I'm sticking to it when I know full well I'm cheating!!!
We went to the cinema after class to see RED. I haven't bee to cinema in aaaaaages so it was really good. We went with some of OH's friends and one of their girlfriends. Apparently they go every week so I'm hoping we can go a bit more often so I can get to know Pippa (the girlfriend) a bit better. I have moved over 30 miles away from my friend and family to live with OH and I don't know anyone where we live now and I was getting a bit upset about it last night.
BobCat - I LOVE the davina exercise DVDs and I also have a colleen mcgloughlin one that I enjoy.
So. Here's the plan for today. I'm going green but tea is at OH's mum's so I don't know what I'll be having and as I always tell you....it's bound to be naughtier than if I cooked myself!
Brekkie - porridge (HEA&B) & banana
Snack - apple & pear (at uni while everyone else is having bacon butties!!)
Lunch - jacket potato & beans, yogurt & mixed berries
Tea - ????? but I have 1HEA&B left and all my syns so will hopefully be ok!
I have more fruit at work with me incase I need it.
My consultant has given me a food diary to fill in and take back next week and I have decided to ban 'proper' cheese for the week as I can't be trusted with it. I will allow myself some laughing cow triangles or cheese slices though as I can keep to my limits happily with those!!0 -
Hello everyone, I've been away for a couple of days, just busy around the house.... but my you lot can talk :rotfl:it meant that I had probably 20+ pages to read through... I have to confess though that I have only read about 5 or so...
So belated WELL DONE's for all you losers.. and BIG HUGS for the gainers.
It is my WI today and my results .... -2lb, so a happy bunny here.
I have discovered treat size Mars in the Carefour so have been having 1 of those a day and guestimated at 4 syns each... is this correct??
The slow cookered chinese pork sounds nice (on the last thread) I will be trying that soon.
Today (EE)
B - Frittata topped with cheese (A) salad (F)
L - Not sure yet..I'd like pasta, maybe on a spicy tom sauce with salad.
D - not sure about this either.. Chicken something
Snx - Mars (4) 4 Ryvita (B) Quark (F) Ham (F) Cuc (F) Mandarins (F)
I've run out of lots of things to make deciding my meals easy (food bing delivered tomorrow am) so I need to have a mooch in the cupboards and concoct something.
Have a fab day everyone xx"People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -
Morning All,
Bobcat - I have the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. It's really good as only 20 mins. I just need to get my behind into gear to actually do it!
I'm in a bit of a quandry today as I start my new shift hours. It's a 12-22 today, so that covers two meal times. I don't really want to lug two meals and snacks into work on the train, but then again I don't want to buy anything when I'm there either.
Think a green day would be better:
Breakfast
Banana
Lemon Hi Fi Bar (HEB)
Lunch
I don't know!!! Might have to just grab some veg sushi or something to tide me over
Dinner
HM Tomato/Veg/Chorizo pasta sauce (3 syns for 20g chorizo per portion)
Pasta
3 x Mini Babybel light (HEA)
0% Total FF yog with Coconut Options (2 syns)
Snacks
Milk from allowance for tea (HEA)
Fibre plus (HEB)
More fruit
One of two things will happen with this, I'll eat my dinner at lunchtime which will probably be about 1600ish anyway and then be starving later on and go hungry or will get something rubbish to eat at the train station on the way home.
Have a great day all,

It's weigh in after work today so fingers crossed
Today I am having:
Breakfast - 2 x weetabix w/ soya milk and honey
Snacks - 2 bananas, 3 yogs, a cold veggie burger, 5 gherkins (not sure if I'll eat all that but that's what I have in my lunch bag)
Lunch - jacket potato with beans and cottage cheese
Dinner - I think I will make a quorn lasagne
There's a HEA and HEB in there and 5.5 syns (2 - honey, 3.5 veggie burger); I'll use my other HEA as cheese on my lasagne and HEB will either be a hifi bar or oil to cook the quorn mix for the lasagne.
Have a good day everyone0 -
Dizzy - just 4 weigh ins till Mexico, are you getting excited now it is getting so close?
We started at the same time, our starting weight was the same but you have lost 7lb more than me -for me and :T for you. I'm hoping to be good until Christmas (except for a weekend in Brussels at the begining of Dec). My aim initially was to lose 3 stone by Jan but that is not going to happen, maybe I will have lost 2 stone, which will be fab and I won't feel so blobby.
