Not had a good week, very good friend of mine been diagnosed with breast cancer, and is off her food so I did a little party for her Sat night, few drinks and buffet food, scoffed lots of sausages, sausage rolls, pastry things, crisps etc etc. Had full fat roast lamb on sunday and pub lunch with chips on Monday. Rest of days before and after average 4-6 syns and lots of superfree, except Friday when I had a few bacardis! WI tonight lost 1lb so very pleased. Will do a menu plan now for the next week and must eat some strawberries as had an EE day and need to top up SF's

    Well done everyone.
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

    sorry about your friend gizmo

just made (and burnt my tongue on) a dyno rod inspired soup.
couldnt make the exact thing so just chucked in the veg i had
    baked beans
    canned toms
    sweetcorn
    red peppers
    swede
    mushrooms
    green beans
    pasta

lol bit of a mish mash but tasted nice

had to make up for the sandwiches i ate at lunchtime, was in a team meeting and we have to stay for the provided lunch.
had 1 triangle of cheese and tom, 1 triangle of brie and cranberry, 1 triangle chicken mayo and 1 triangle tuna mayo - so 1 sandwich in size
but i did steal the tiny little bunch of grapes that came on the tray

Me too Gizmo - giver her a hug from us lot.

I am having an up and down week - DH is waiting to hear whether he still has a job or not - they were supposed to be told yesterday, then today, and the rumour now is next Tuesday. I am trying not to worry too much but I think that manifests in cravings of course.

    Hey ho

NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........
  • Evening all!

Not been on for a while, internet playing up. I've put on +1 lb this week, not too bad all things considered, going to give it 100% this week

I've just been looking on net & I think I may have a bit of IBS so going to hopefully stick to plan and see if it helps. I've not been feeling right for months so if the plan does help I've only had myself to blame!!

I don't get tempted if we ever get biscuits/chocs at work as they are always dairy so never vegan which is very useful!

I still have my choc tin here - a big cake tin with choc bars and wrapped biscuits in - as long as the wrapper is sealed I'm fine. Only things Ive had in the 7 weeks since I joined SW are one pack of haribo style sweets but the vegan version and 1 small bag of montezumas dark truffles, they lasted 7 weeks.

I should give them away but wont as my vegan choc is so expensive as in £1.75 a bar of vegan mars (so nice but 12 syns:eek:)

I have to cope with the temptation of 5 after 8 choc santas - will be so glad when I see my friend in a week to give her them for the animal sanctuary tombola!

All this choc talk I might have to have a hot choc for supper - apart from 2 syns worth of agarve syrup on my porridge I have not had any syns yet, but am not hungry.
Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Here you go -cheese n potato pie....

    (served 2)

    1A + 2 syns each serving
    • 600g potatoes -peeled and boiled, then mashed
    • 1/2tsp oil (1)
    • 2 large onions thinly sliced (I vary it using leeks, spring onions -a mix of whatever I have in)
    • 84g low fat cheddar (2xA) -cathederal lighter is scrummy
    • 14g fresh parmesan (3) -optional
    • 1 egg
    • seasoning
    1. fry the onions gently in the oil until golden(once the onions are in the coated, sprinkle with your salt as it helps them "fry" properly in very little oil wink.gif)
    2. mash the spuddlies and whack in the parmesan and most of the cheddar
    3. beat in an egg -helps make it lighter
    4. and the onions
    5. season
    6. I bake in the remoska -but tip it into an ovenproof dish and sprinkle over the remaining cheddar and bake until golden n bubbling - drool.gif
*to be honest I don't bother with the parmesan now -it makes little difference*
ooooh and it is LAW that you have to eat it with baked beans :p
Well done on those losses again ladies :T
