I know what you mean even when young ,and kinda lanky, I still had what my mother called a"pot belly" not massive but always with me, still is, keep looking at the things for shrinking/lasering your fat bits !!sorely tempted. like you say lets keep plugging away.

On a completely different note where did you girls find those lovely santa faces abnd christmas trees ?

I am also going to try Blackberrys quiche, tried that searching thing with only partial sucess. Cheers.
Whitehall, it may have been on an earlier thread that the actual recipe was discussed (minus the potato "crust") but basically just make a quiche remembering not to add anything too synful and to count any cheese as HEA. The potato crust was def in this thread somewhere, just slice some potato into one layer over your dish and bake/micro it to cook the potato before you put in other ingredients. Sorry, but I am definitely of the "mix it then cook it til it's done" school, no good at amounts, times etc.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Evening all, I would have posted earlier but fell asleep [sitting up] whilst reading the thread. Woke up to hubby and son taking the p**s out of me :p.

Breakfast rice? Tried it once and made me sick to my stomach, love rice pud and yog but not together.

Need to make more quiche myself as the last lot fell out of the fridge when hubby opened door :(. Thinly sliced pots fried in HEb of olive oil for colour and crispness [although by time I eat it its soggy :rotfl:], mushroom, toms, loads of onions & cheese. I have a slice a day and count cheese as HEa.

For those starting/restarting my only advice would be SUPERFREES. I do mainly greens but always add superfrees ie onions, toms & sometimes mushrooms to everything. Filling and free and def helps with weight loss.

    Anyway my food today:
    B - weetabix milk [a] coffee
L - mugshot, quiche [a], toms, melon, activia
T - comfort food - cheesy mash [a], onions, toms, mushrooms, spag hoops, b/sauce [1]
Snacks - pear, fibre plus , pineapple, melon, onken, meringue [2.5]
    Syns - 3.5

    So thats 3 HEa's & 2 HEb's oh dear slipped a bit today but just can't fit any more HEb's in :o

I found it a bit too sickly with the flavoured yoghurt in it so I added a small amount of sweetener and a Total 0% Greek Yoghurt and then had fresh raspberries and strawberries with it!

    Hi all

Billee - loved the lemony quark/alpen light cheesecake idea, how do u make the quarki lemony?

I just squeeze the juice of a lemon in it and grate the zest, then sweeten it up with splenda of equivalent. :D
Edit to say, for few syns, you can stir in options instead for a choccy cheesecake fix. nom nom

    Evening everyone.

    Help!!!! Pleeeease?
I've been reading on some posts that Philly is synned or HEA. I've been thinking its free to scoff like i would total 0%. Is it syns? i dont actually eat Philly the brand, i eat extra low fat Mr T one.

Also, cottage cheese....I've just added a tub of Mr A good for you onion and chive one to my quiche. Is this free or syns?

I'm gonna be so cheesed off (pardon the pun) if i've been scoffing to my hearts content on synny stuff.

I've made dyno-rod soup for the first time tonight, actually its simmering now. it smells odd though. Might have to add a little curry powder. Anyone get like a red tomatoey froth on the top?

I'm just still so full of self doubt on all this, especially when the losses stop.

No snow here where i live. We got off lucky this time. I love the clear pavements, but the roads are a little slippy.

I've been asking about Philly as I found it very confusing. Philly is a HEB (on Green days only) or 2 syns per 28g for Extra Light. I got so tied up trying to have some with pasta the other day (when I'd already had bread) that I had my first green day ever.

Cottage cheese can be free but it must be the fat free one and I believe some flavoured ones are synned. I'm not sure that the GFY is fat free. I buy mine from MrA too but I can't remember the name of it (not a MrA brand). It's quite expensive so I'd like to hear what brand others eat.

Snow has just started falling here this evening for the first time. It looks very pretty but I wonder if my WI will be on in the morning?
