Hmm I know in the last thread wootball i dont think you were with us then, but there is a "misuse of free foods" rule.
I agree with you about the cellular struture. I was also considering eg cassava flour today whilst I was out, there is also a chickpea flour as well ( is that fufu?, I cant remember)
I was there a little in the last thread but not much.
With things such as fruit etc I would agree since the body digests the sugars way more readily - however it's one can of chickpeas. Not only that, but it's eaten in slices, not the whole cake. Whether I eat them out of the can, cover them with Fry Light and bake them as a snack, or eat them in a salad, I'm not going to ingest more than one can of chickpeas.
I don't subscribe to doing everything the Slimming World way, since there are elements that make no sense or contradict eachother. The calorific value of a can of chick peas remains the same whether I eat them whole or blend them – it’s impossible to take it more than that amount of calories regardless of what you do with them. If I was synning the chick peas then we would all need to syn the super speed soup, since it involves blending baked beans – which have the same nutritional value as chick peas.Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

redmel1621 wrote: »DKAM:wave: Is it the rice pudding with muller you tried? I haven't tried it myself but that's because I am pretty sure I won't like it... I am mostly a hot food girl tbh and only like rice pudding made properly, milk, sugar and a big splodge of jam when served lmao......not very SW friendly!
Mrs M - Aren't you kind to the birdies:D Looking forward to the lasagne recipe, I love bacon, and I love lasagne......so i'm thinking it sounds nice:p
I am having an EE day today
Weetabix (HEa HEb)
Choccy drink (2 syns)
Baked potato with ham, cheese and beans(6 Syns I think?)
Large fruit salad)
Having chicken rogan josh and rice for dinner later Will need to work out any syn values for oil etc but shouldn't be many...
I am now doing 20 mins a time on the exercise bike, plus 60 crunches, 10 leg raises (these are so hard for me) and 5 press ups.....not bad considering 3 weeks ago I could only do 10 crunches, 1 leg raise and 2 press ups:o
xx
Yes it was with the muller light, it was vile, seriously. far too tangy and I just didn't like the texture.
Ooh rogan josh, my fave curry, well indian curry anyway.0 -
Blarg to the snow!!! I'm on day three of my latest weight loss battle, it's all been going well so far, but I'm cooped up because of the snow and now have a craving for anything bad - sweets, chocoalte, crisps!! Anything at all would do just nicely!!
How's everyone else faring?
Planning to have a baked sweet pot with cheese and chive for tea tonight - not really relishing the idea though!
Is Marshalls macaroni cheese still free on a green day? If not yesterday was possibly more synful than I thought!

I am relatively new to this thread as well, the people are really great , the worst thing is when I am trying to backtrack to find a receipe I want to try and forget to write the post number !!
Your weight seems great to me, I am 5.6.5 and my Gym weighing machine says my ideal weight is 10.12 which unfortuately I am not, I set my target higher at Group as I find at 67 its much harder to shift the pounds and whilst I go to the Gym at least 3 times a week sometimes more, its hard going at times.
Thanks Whitehall - I guess it just depends on where you carry your weight maybe? I'm not very well endowed, and was always very slim - so any weight at all sits round my tummy, I got down to 9stone 11 and actually still had a tummy on me! I don't have your dedication to the gym though - I really need to address that as well as the diet - but I guess it's one step at a time for me!

Another 1.5lbs and I'll be the lightest I've been for 9 years.Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

that is some loss Wootball!
Have you had to go out and get loads of new clothes? How much more till you are ready to maintain do you think?
I hope you agree to a story in the mag if you get asked, this is an amazing loss.
DO you think youll be able to stick with this for "life"
My personal feeling is like yours, misuse of free foods? I was considering makign some nachos ith lasange sheets then i realised I coudlnt be botheredWhat is the chickpea cake like, I mean, is it like a victoria sponge?
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Good evening ladies n gents
Good Lord -hubby decided that as the roads were clear he would come and collect me to go shopping (bless him if I give him a list he will only buy exactly what is on there -so if I put down clementines and they don't have them he won't bring satsumas/mandarins instead :rotfl:)so he figured that it made more sense to take me instead. Anyhoo the temp had "risen" to -8 and jeese I was cod frozen solid  and I walked a grand total of about 20 steps from the house to the car, the car to the shop door and back again . Me thinks me need some thermals
Anyway it means I have my extra stuff in -I swear I have decided that I am part squirrel ... I can't bear to run low on anything -especially now Im doing SW .... I could do with borrowing someones small child to sit on my chest freezer to keep the lid downand its mainly meat n fish -oohh and my frozen fruit... ahh well I guess with the bad winter on its way its not such a bad thing.
Redmel -Im a serious sadsac where bird are concerned, I have always loved them, the birdtable is about 2ft away from the patio doors (and now winter is here hubby has secured his old golf umbrella over the top again to keep the snow off) ... they are that used to this batty old moo being out there that some of them don't even get off the table when I go to top it up :j... we have fresh coconut hanging up along with all the peanuts, seed, fatballs *and the suet n cheese* I put out for "Mr.Fat bobbin"
-he sits on the lip if the patio door and taps at the glass if there isn't any out :rotfl:oooh and I also provide for the squirells too ....god Im a sad so n so ...
oohh whilst I think about it the cheesy bacon lasagne was:-
Now then I have found that all cheese sauce makes lasagne to rich -so I use a white sauce and put all the cheese on top as it tastes much better *plus those OHs will see all the cheese and not think "diet food"* -Mwahaha

Wootball - like the sound of the chickpea cake too, have made a not of the recipe so will give that a go :T
As predicted i did not have a happy weigh in on monday, put on 2 pounds after my calorific weekend but didnt have too much time to worry about it as have had a family crisis to deal with since then.

Thanks for that recipe MrsM, that looks great!
I'm also snowed in at the moment so haven't been to work, but must confess I'm enjoying being at home! Managed to walk out to the local shops today for some essentials, but have a freezer and cupboards full of food so won't starve!
Have had a lovely comfort foody tea! A big pile of SW chips, quorn sausages, fried eggs in flylight, and roasted veggies. I don't eat such indulgent food when I'm not dieting!! It was lovely!
I hope you are all ok and safe and warm. Thoughts go out to the lady who is without heating at the moment. I've been through that before, it's not nice. I notice you are going to the gym today though - to use a hot shower I'm guessing!!!
Bye for now x0
