    Afternoon!
So much for me being a lurker! :o

I treid the pudding rice this morning _pale_ now I remeber why I haven't let rice pudding pass my lips since that fateful day 21 years ago when the dinner lady stood over me and forced me to eat it  even the baby spat it out and he eats anything I give him!

Just a quick question, can I have a green day if I syn the sausages I'm having for tea and having no other meat?
I discovered I don't like pudding rice/rice pudding when I tried the ricy breakfast thing too! You can have meat as a HEB on a green day, but sausages probably do not feature in the list! so if you syn them you can still have a measured amount of bacon or prawns or chicken or something if you wish. No good asking me for measurements though as my SW book is in my car a mile away covered i n snow :rotfl:

back to confess to having written a load of cpap above! of course you can only have so much meat and sausages, though syns, are also meat. I forget they are meat! Sorry, ignore everything I say!

    thank you Slimming World!

In this cold weather I used to love granola with hot milk for breakfast - I was just wondering if there are any granola-type cereals that I can have as a HEB???

I think it has to be synned, only the cereals on the list can be used as HEB's

Don't quote me but I think it is between 4 & 6 syns per 28g

  • Just blended tin of tomatoes, some chopped onion, tin of baked beans, loads of spices, a spoonful of vecon and the end of a leftover courgette and then given it a good 15 mins cooking to turn it into a lovely warming spicy soup. I can get another 2 bowlsful from it (ate two big bowls full). As I'm sitting here rather than at work I may as well say what I've eaten so far (bear in mind I got up at 6am for work as usual, and ate breakfast at 6.30 am as usual....)

Breakfast - 2 big mugs of real coffee with skimmed milk (milk is always my HEA); 2 rashes of fat free bacon, sliced tomato, big field mushroom and a slice of leftover potato-base quiche.

Snack - defrosted mixed berries, big slice of melon, plain fat free yog and a spoonful of honey (1 syn iirr); oh, also had a big crunchy juice apple partway thru morning. 2 more cups of real coffee. 3 cups of hot water.

Lunch - 2 big bowls of red home made soup, and half a co-op wholemeal pitta.

I just ate half the pitta as I cannot decide whether to stay on EE or go for green. If I go for green I will shove some cheese (2nd HEA) into the other half pitta and melt it as a Special Treat - :D

rest of day, who knows. I have some leftover dhal in the fridge; or I could eat the lunch I prepared for work tomorrow which was dhal, tomato and chicken.

as you can see, I don't starve.

I'm not snowed in but I live at the top of a cliff on an unmade road which obviously doesn't get gritted/salted so I'm not risking going shopping, so last night I done an inventory of what I have in my inside freezer (got 2 more outside) and have enough food and frozen leftover meals to last OH and I for most of December! Only problem being if I can't get to the butchers as I don't have much meat in there (although I'm sure theres probably enough for the rest of the month - except Christmas because I've ordered that meat to collect a couple of days before. I've also got a good stock of tinned food so we definitely won't starve - might eat a few weird meals but who cares as long as we're not hungry.

Hope others have good stocks in, particularly if your in one of the areas that have had loads of snow.

YES... getting excited now... it is 8 weeks until we go and the girls are getting excited too (going with friends) 2 have had their injections already, I'll get mine at Christmas when I am back home.

Were staying at the Sensatori resort in Playa Riviera south of Cancun... can't wait to sample the Mojito bar where they apparently have over 20 different flavours.

Is this the same side you are going or are you going westside? I went to Acapulco about 20 years ago with mom, dad, brother & sister.

thats the same side were going:).....been twice before (but different hotels) lurrrrve it :p were going to the Iberostar Quetzal & can use their sister hotel in cozumel if we fancy the day snorkeling there so that should be pretty good. Im Pretty miffed tho as I can't do a dive this time with me having a dodgy missing ear  learnt to swim 1st trip there after my 1st op 3 1/2 years ago, did a beginner dive 2nd trip there and now I cant go anymore :mad::mad: flipping boo to stupid ears :rotfl:

Sary you do know the muller cheesecake ones are synned dont you?? :o

Dizzy, thanks for that. Yes, I do count the syns, although forgot to mention it in my post, but I do note it on my Food Diary each day.

My pudding rice was a bit grim too, but I thought it was because I'd mixed it with the wrong flavour muller. I had a bad experience with rice pudding at school, as it had a dollop of jam in it, and they made me eat it all..... and I then promptly threw it all up over the girl sat next to me! I don't mind ordinary rice pud, so may try to make a low cal version of one, using sweetener and low fat milk/water.

Well it's snowing again still here. The snow underneath has frozen into thick sheets of ice, and there's black ice on all the roads, so it's like being Torvill and Dean when you attempt to drive. At least we can still get out. The depressing thing is that our central heating boiler has packed up. The engineer has been out today, and he says it will be over a week until we get a new one. Not fun. Looks like we'll be wearing lots of layers. We're only about 8 miles away from where the really heavy snow has fallen, so it could be worse.

I'm going to go to the gym this afternoon, now the engineer has finally been. Waiting for my lunch to go down.

    Food today is: EE

    B - Muller ch/cake (1 syn), apple, banana
L - bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomato, beans
D - Meat & extra veg bolognese, SW chips.
    HEA - 250ml milk
    HEB - HIFI or alpen x 2

I might allow myself a choccy treat later this evening while watching TV to use up the rest of my syns.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

really sorry to hear that :( We managed ( touch and go tho!) survived last year with no central heating ( just a couple of plug in heatrers) in a large house which was very very cold.

we managed to survive with the help of an electric blanket, and filling the flask with hot drinks and staying in bed for pretty much the whole winter. Might be woth ordering or getting hold of one if you dont have one, they are good
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Ahh thanks, I just remembered that I have had leftover crazy pasta which had tuna in it so will have to have an EE day, never mind at least I know now.

Yes you can use your syns on anything you want, so no problem with synning sausages on a green day.
