    Afternoon All

Miserable Damp gloomy day here today :o OH is having a day off golf due to him not being able to see his balls in the fog :rotfl::rotfl: I did have to stop myself asking if it was normal to walk the course naked :p

Anyway I'm now being tortured with an afternoon of Darts on the telly :( not sure im too thrilled with this......but seeing as I have just dragged him to Asda for yet some more mushy peas/beans and melon I cant really complain, as I think his pain later in the nose department will be worse than mine :D

    Green day again for me

    Brekki Melon & rasbs

Lunch JP with beans & satsumas

Tea butternut squash/cauli/chickpea/onion curry & rice (3 syns for the curry paste)

    HEA milk for morning teas
    HEB fibre plus
HEA2 HEB2 2 ryvita & mad cow light mid afternoon snack

Syns 3 for my share of curry paste maybe a kitkat? 5.5

    Lunch: apple, savoury rice

Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last
  • I'm very old school when it comes to food, I like to see exactly what goes in! :p

    Me too!

TakeItEasy - good for a sore throat is Ginger tea. I had one a few weeks ago and it worked a treat. Chop about an inch of ginger up, juice of half a lemon, honey and hot water. Let steep and drink.. you will need more than 1 cup.

I think it's the consultant thing that's putting me off, I've been to slimming world approx 7 times in the past 10 years, only twice have I had a really good consultant, the other times the class I went to was various different ones all run by the same consultant and although she appeared enthusiastic at first there was something about her I wasn't sure of and I couldn't put my finger on it,I never put my all into it for various reasons but it was her attitude that kept putting me off as well, (she's very false and is only interested when you're losing weight, otherwise she never really bothers with you)
I rejoined in January this year first meeting fine, went back the next week and my old consultant was there as she was covering the regular consultant's holidays (she does this for most of the consultants in the area as well as having 5 classes herself)
I never went back, in fact I nearly walked out when I saw her there.
the two good consultants I had don't do any classes anymore so what I think I need to do is join one either near work or one in my local area where I know she won't be covering anytime soon.
I just don't like her and she triggers off feelings of failure every time I see her :(

It makes all the difference doesn't it? See if you can find one where you feel you can relate to the consultant.

This group I go to now the Consultant really seems to have time for you and LISTENS! I've only been going a few weeks and she has phoned me already. The previous one I went for well over a year and I can't ever recall her ringing me, even when I sort of "slipped away" from the group she never contacted me. She was hopeless when I stalled for months on end and spent more time listening to "the moaners" in our group than doing something positive to help me. Especially as I never missed one week, stayed to Image Therapy every week and made food every single time for Taster Evenings.

Can't drink that, hubby swears by honey & lemon but I just can't stomach it. Thanks for the tip though.

do they do the offers starting saturday-ending fridays maybe?
    :(
Saying that....I know when people have been getting offers on fibre plus at morrisons up and down the country Ive gone to my nearest one (I dont go there as a rule) and the offer wasnt on at that store yet....maybe some stores do what they want with some stock?

Edit: just checked and the asda offer 2 for £3 has finished from last week (I bought mine on thus) so must start their new ones for the weekend shoppers?

Stopped of at waitrose on walk back from Mums [with son] and stocked up on fibre plus as were 2 for £2 :D
Had my evening snack of fruit, onken & meringue about 4.30 yesterday and didn't have to get up for loo in night :T:j. Same again today and hope for another full nights sleep [fingers crossed]

  • Today's food diary:

    2 x bananas
    hifi
jp & tuna (3 syns for mayo)
    milk in tea
and my "gorjeus" sausage & bean casserole. Think I'll count the 5 syns for the sossies today and then the next day it'll be "free". will that work?!

recipe if anyone mad enough to try it:

Quorn frankfurters (1 syn each but I do need to check that!) chopped
    tin chopped tomatoes
    2 tins of beans
1 tin drained red kidney beans
    carton passatta
red, green & yella peppers, chopped chunky
    onion, chopped chunky
    chilli powder
    mixed herbs
sachet of schwartz moussaka herb mix

Ok it was a bit chucked together, but it works suprisingly well!

I made this for dinner tonight and it was absolutely gorgeous:) I got it from another site, but apparantly it is from an old SW magazine.

Comfort cheese and onion pie - Free on Green

    14oz Potatoes
    4oz Onion
    4oz Leek
    handful of peas
    1 garlic clove
    sprinkle of tyhme
    2 eggs beaten
    85ml vegetable stock
    84g reduced fat chedder

Boil potatoes and mash up, set aside and spray large frying pan with frylight and fry onions, leeks & peas for 6-8 mins.

Add the mash, garlic, thyme, eggs, stock and half the cheese, mix altogether and put in ovenproof dish and sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top and bake for 20 mins on 200 oc.
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

Good evening all -made it here eventually biggrin.gif

well folks I was up at 6:30 this morning eek.gif -so have had a 3hr walk around the golf course with hubby (dizzy we couldn't see hubbies balls half the time either:p ), then nipped to pick up a few more bits of fruit etc rolleyes.gif
Takeiteazy -it sounds odd but if you drop dried sage into a mug and pour on boiling water, leave until cool enough to sip -then strain it and use it to gargle -it numbs your throat ;)

anyway -Im have had a red day that looks like this :-
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 1 banana
    • 2 plums
    • 2 clementines
    • 2 satsumas
    • ham
    • 2 satsumas
    • 1 apple
    • 2 home made "OX" burgers (0.5)
    • 198g potato (B) wedged in
    • 1/4tsp oil (0.5)
    • fried onions (0.5)
    • salad
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • fibre plus (B)
    • activia (2.5)
So that will be 2A+Bs and 4 syns -Im stuffed from dinner -so I will try and wedge the fibre plus and activia down later tongue.gif
I have posted the next bit on another thread but thought I may as well add it to the diary too biggrin.gif

Well after years of dodging hubbies works functions I have totally gob smacked him by asking what they have planned this year and does he want to go? .. he nearly fell over with shock -and low and behold they are having 2 this time eek.gif
I know I have lost weight but Im still aware that Im still carrying plenty of extra-but I am biting the bullet and going -well if my clothes arrive -and fit-and look presentable I am tongue.gif
here is some of what is coming -lets hope it fits/suits

Im getting in plenty of repetitions on the leg magic and hula hooping on the wii to give me the best chance of looking half way decent character00116.gif...... I just need to make my jewellery now..might do that next week... hopefully the stuff will be here soon so I can see what length etc I want..
Well after that marathon waffle I had better get off.. Pinkies crossed for the scales tomorrow cross.gif although I feel a bit bloaty at the moment rolleyes.gif
